Hi everyone.

I'am currently flying a Russian Fighter Campaign, i've been awarded with eight medals so far...BUT...two of them were given twice (Hero of the soviet Union..the one with the golden star if i correctly remember and the Red Banner Order) this doesn't make sense, why should i receive twice both medals ?

I checked the game files where the medals files are located and found the two missing ones, is there a bug with their names preventing them to be loaded... how can it be fixed ?

I would like to know wich are the specific events that allow you to win each medal has anyone such information ?

I'm tired of risking myself while trying to accomplish additional attacks on different targets (airfield, trains, transport columns, rabbits, elephants and anything that moves in the map i really swear it !)once my main objective has completed and getting nothing in exchange !

Good flight to you !

Nonsense, I verified the joints twice!: This was the answer given by chief Mechanic Klaus Stoeffel to Oberst Lotar Von Müllenbrock when he complained about some strange vibrations in the wings of his Me-262 during take off. This picture show that Oberst Von Müllenbrock's fears were in fact quite real.

One can be twice Hero of Soviet Union. This award can be awarded several times to a single person. That's the way it was. It's very realistic /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

On the loading screen of FB, I think there is a plane with two of these awards. The pilot had two.

You should do some research on internet (www.google.com? (http://www.google.com?)) before stating it doesn't make sense.

Indeed there were several russian pilot's that got that medal .
I heard( don't know how true it) is that it was the soviet equivalent to british "Victoria Cross", and US "Congresional Medal of Honor"
Yap, tha La7 ftom FB box belongs to Ivan Nikitovici Kojedub- the best alied pilot(62 victories), wich becamed "Hero of the Soviet Union" twice also like Recikalov.

Actually, Kozhedub was the second of two Soviet fighters who became triple Hero of Soviet Union winners. The first one was Pokryshkin.<font style="display:none">

Hi Guys

Well i want to deeply apologize if my ignorance on the Soviet Medal awarding system (i'm really stupid i forgot to read that section of my newspaper this morning....lol), but you're missing the point.

1.Ok the system is historically accurate so one medal can be awarded several times. Checked

2. This weekend i received my third "hero of the soviet Union" after shooting down 7 Fw190 and attacking their airfield (i use time compression for aiming my shoots so don't bother in complaining about my lack of realism..i just want to have fun), so i completed my ninth award and my detailed roster only shows 8 awards, so is this a bug ?

3. The interesting link provided at the start of the thread states that this award (hero of the soviet union) was awarded after killing 15 planes, so anyone has some information on wich procedure is considered in FB to award this and any other award ?

This last point would increase the importance of each mission as anyone would try to perform a little better and would certainly accomplish more risky attacks.

Yes, the interface has space for 8 awards only and you can get 9 medals.

Nothing can be done with the interface, but if we want to to provide the same 8 "steps" as for other nations, the last medal will be the ninth indeed. It is because when you receive your first Gold Star, you simultaneously receive an
Order of Lenin. Such was reality, so we decided it is worth it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

But don't worry, it will be significantly more difficult to get the same number of medals after path http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You really don't have to apologise for anything, you simply asked for an answer..
Don't think that it is a bug, but just 8 medals can be shown in that panel( is like in Il2), I would rather think that receiving a ninth medal could be a bug, though...
I didn't played russian campaigns to much, maybe after I finish the axis, so it didn't happent to me...yet/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I know what you mean, I finished with 9 medals (the Order of the Red Banner & my 3rd Hero of the Soviet Union were 8 & 9) ,But the game really stops keeping track of when they get awarded after the 7th medal & the missing medal your talking about is the Order of Glory, I have flown 5 Russian campaigns & never once got this award, Probably a bug.

"An attack against a unit of Flying Fortresses was something like controlled suicide...Sometimes 50, Sometimes 80 machine guns were firing at you... You attempted to close your eyes & continue to fire, Frightened to death, Frightened to death."
