i cant take off a carrier in a gruman. I set to full poer, full rpm,. i have only a 500lb bomb as loadout. I start rolling down the deck then when u pull up at the end i stall and crash into the sea.

try loading less fuel
flaps are at take off not landing
prop pitch 100
engin revs full before release chocks
try starting further back on deck
the carrier is moving not standing still**
just some things to check.easy to forget somthing.

I agree with sakai exept one one point. I always use landing flaps.

One thing you could try is to NOT pull up as you leave the deck. It's too easy to stall at that speed. Try to fly it off level and quickly pull in your gear. Your plane will dip dangerously close to the water but will be building speed as it does so. You should be able to level out just above the waves and then ease it back into the air ever so gently as your airspeed increases.

It also helps sometimes to unchock and rechock as planes will often spawn slightly above the deck.

Hope this helps,

Which Grumman?? I think you are talking about the F6F??? I'm only guessing. Let me know and I'll give you an in-depth explaination on how to do it.

Mortoma it is the F6F. I love to fly the plane online but i cant get of the deck of the carrier without sinking. I usually have a 500lb bomb and sometimes rockets.

Start rolling down the deck? Just a thought but are you using chocks as mentioned above to build up to full revs before moving?

Needs a key assignment to activate and release them.

Can't remember whether they're on or off when you first appear on the deck but if they're off that might explain a slow roll...

Sounds crazy, but try this: Hardware, then input, and then try this pitch setting.

500 lb bomb
100% fuel

1) Lock tail wheel
2) Release chocks
3) Lock chocks
4) cowl flaps open
5) Canopy open
6) flaps full
7) Rudder trim just under half of maximum nose right
8) start engine
9) rpm 100%
10) mixture 120%
11) throttle 100%
12) pull back on stick to keep tail down
13) release chocks
14) correct any swing with rudder
15) when past ship superstructure centre the stick (tail comes up)
16) fall off end of carrier
17) pull back slightly on stick to stop descent, wheels up straight away
18) Canopy close
19) stay level - let speed build for a second
20) flaps up by degrees - bit at a time - if possible.
21) Mixture to 100%
22) Throttle to 77%
23) rpm to 95%
24) turn onto heading
25) climb out at 122 knots IAS

For 1000lb bomb use 75% fuel.

Good luck.
