I decided to bite the bullet and sail to Halifax during my extremely-slow TC patrol I talked about not too long ago. Well, after a couple real hours, I finalyl made it in! Only to find every single merchant and tanker embedded in the concrete of the docks and burning http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif One tanker was sticking out of the warehouse. Right now I started a different patrol, and having my revenge on an Arctic convoy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Dont you just hate when that happens. Ive ran into that problem quite a few times. Found a T3 where only the tip of the bow could be seen out of the dock and soundwave looping constantly that is played as a ship sinks

Sorry in advance if you guys know this already... The reason this happens apparently is the fact that the docks spawn after the ships. So sometimes the ships spawn "off center" and end up getting stuck when the dock spawns.

I've gone to free view a few times and zipped over to a port. No land. No docks. Just ships, sitting in the middle of the ocean. Silly, but I can see how it would save system resources since you're not supposed to be that far out anyway.

That makes sense. Only thing is why not render the docks all the time and then add the ships later on. That way you can fly thousands of miles ahead of your sub into the port to see if theres anything there worth going there for but you wouldnt be able to see ships there. Then render the ship in the docks that way if its dropped atop the dock half on and half off it should fall in the water then if not sink. But it wouldnt be ships sticking out of solid concrete walls lol
