I don't determine distance with gunsights in this game, you can use aircraft icons for checking distance if your difficulty setting allows it. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I forgot the link, but it has a fantastical description about knowing the size of the enemy wingspan and how much the wingspan fills the markings in the gunsight. Alot of deflection stuff too.

Maybe somebody will post it again.

With german planes target 10m wide (fighter) should be as wide as the circle at 100 meters, medium bomber with 20m span at 200 metres etc...

towards the bottom the the left hand side, under the Files section, you will see a link called "1943 RAF Gunnery School Manual"

Click on that and you will download a zip file. In it are about 20 pages in Gif format that will tell you all you need to know about gunsites and deflection shooting.

Then all you have to do is practice, and practice, and ...
