"Straight Down Some More" is a single player 19-mission campaign for the SBD-3. This campaign is a sequel to "Straight Down". You don't need to play "Straight Down" before playing this campaign, but it is highly recommended.

THE CAMPAIGN:
The time is early 1943 and you have already completed two tours of duty in the South Pacific. Your next tour of duty takes you to the northern Pacific. The Japanese have established a foothold in the Aleutians and the USN has decided that the Japanese must be eliminated from American soil. You and your squadron have been assigned to the Polar Viper, a Casablanca-class carrier which has been heavily modified for arctic operations. She and her two escorts are the only ships that can be spared to fight this battle. The Polar Viper is a tough little ship designed for severe weather. Her bow has been strengthened to handle ice up to eight inches thick, she carries 50% more fuel than a standard escort carrier, and all her external gear will function down to 30 below zero. She will be your home for the next few months as you take the fight to the Japanese in one of the most inhospitable theaters of the war.

If you survive the 15 missions in the northern Atlantic you will transfer to Dubbo's Castaway Island for 4 more missions (see the outstanding "Castaways" campaign by Dubbo).

The campaign will feature an excellent skin by Beebop featuring the Polar Viper logo on the tail of the SBD. Other outstanding skins from various artists will also be included for the other aircraft that appear in the campaign.

The campaign is available at Mission 4 Today

I'm taking off on vacation tomorrow (Saturday the 16th) and will miss checking on your comments. I'll be back in 3 weeks. Flying across the pond to Poland and plan on visiting Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic too.

Finally did the first mission today. This will be a tough campaign if this mission is a sign of things to come. For the "realists" out there, you will love it.

Debrief of mission 1.

Very difficult to stay with flight climbing through clouds. Lost flight twice. Once to target and once just after target. Bombs dropped 150 yds short of target. Shot up by AAA and Zeke. Fuel leak and prop control out. Attempted 3 landings. Couldn't slow down to land. Had to bail out. pilot and gunner survived.

Just some FYI on Zues-Cat. He is on vacation with his lovely wife in Poland I believe. But I am sure he will check in and answer any questions and enjoy the comments when he gets back in a couple weeks. He really does appreciate y'alls thoughts and comments.
