I had stutter and pauses in heavy flak and explosions on my amd64 3400 and bfg 6800 ultra under opengl until i changes the setting to directx now no stutter or pauses....ok no perfect view but until there is a patch to fix this this will do....but funny though i never had stutter or pauses with my ATI9800 pro with FB/aces or PF....but there you go. hope it helps

Don't you get less fps in 3D?

Funny, I couldn't get perfect & had some stutter problems with DirectX. Switched to opengl & it got better & perfect mode. Go figure. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

You can get perfect in OGL only. It's that way for everybody.

How did you get perfect to run under Direct3D, Jimbo?

I get far better performance under Direct3D, so I'd like to use that if possible.

I'd a swore I was running direcx with an older Cat and used perfect mode. Maybe it got reset or something when I uninstalled the older Cat cause it was on directx & I don't remember changing it. Maybe I've finally gone off the deep end (memory's the first to go). I know my setup runs better (smoother) on openGL.
