Thanks indeed, us young'uns are all very lucky. Despite taking an interest and playing games like IL-2 I don't think we'll ever quite grasp how much some sacrificed. Two minutes silence about to start in the UK so I'm signing off and staying quiet.

Thank you Vets and thank you to your fallen comrades who made the supreme sacrifice for their respective countries. There can be no greater debt that that which we owe the fallen heroes who died to ensure our hard won freedom.

Exactly right. To some of us it means a lot. Some people don't realise the sacrifices veterans make even in peacetime. It's hard to say 'Thank You' back withoput sounding stupid but it's difficult to put into words when someone does recognise us and it's also hard to put into words our appreciation for those who came before, are here now and those coming yet. We should never see signs like 'Dogs and sailors keep off the grass' or have to go to Australia (love those guys) to hear 'Thank You' We have some of the greatest people on this board I think. Salute to all.

To all vets present and past' Thank you and wishing you well can hardly convey the huge debt we owe to every single one of you .
And this goes double for those who served in the hell known as Viet Nam....God bless.
