BBC:
Scientists from Cambridge and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have designed the world's first silent commercial aircraft.

It is hoped the plane, which is shaped like a stealth jet, will go into production within ten years. Andrew Winstanley reports.

I think it`s creepy. There you are, doing your gardening :P when this big black silent shape just floats over head - and as the pilot/passengers, would feel awfully weird not actually hearing anything at 20000 feet.

It'd be great to not hear anything while in the plane, finally I could get some sleep while flying!

Maybe they should remove the engine.
Wot kind of dork research is this.... It reminds me of some story of NASA spending a gazillion bucks on getting a pressurised pen to work in space.

The Russians used a pencil.

Makes you think!

Do you take pleasure in ruining other peoples' lifes? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif How can WWF be not real? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif I mean, when me and my cousin made some of them cool moves, it hurt. He was sent to hospital. Now that I think of it, I haven't seen him since... well, quite a long time... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Indeed. Man on the moon? I could fake better pictures in my garage, with some paper mache and white paint.

Besides we all know the moon is made out of Cheese.
