Gah!
Three times I have gone for the tail end of a pair telling my wingman to cover me cover me. Gone in and started putting holes in the bandit only to be hit seconds later by the lead bandit that has swung right round onto my tail and it busy firing at me whilst my wingman, who never bothered telling me of the threat flys not far behind the bandit watching me get shot.

I swear that as soon as I get this bullet riddled crate back to the field, I'm gonna shoot him dead!

Not sure about you having your wingman shot, but nothing says you can't just shoot him. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I shoot the Stupid AI down all the time. Usually because they are trying to steel my kill in front of me. and he becomes a better target.

In magnitude, -600 is the same as +600 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Iirc the Cover Me command doesn't mean cover me. It's more like follow me.

There was a post on this subject a couple of years ago.

The AI never listens anyways. They just kinda absently go "Uh-huh" like a 5 year old glued to a Japanese animé show.

Shootin's too good for'em. Put 'em in a burlap bag with a couple of wild cats and throw 'em in the Tiber I say!

What I do is yell for help while I attack, that brings my wingman and anybody else nearby it to attack any aircraft attacking me. Works most of the time.

Good hunting,

Most of the time when you tell them to attck fighters, their AI enemy picks up on it and engages them instead of focusing on you.

Heck, I'd be happy if he would just tell me he spotted some badguys and was gonna leave for a couple of minutes...

Cruising along...da de da...look behind me...no wingman. Suddenly I hear, "Somebody help me!"

He deserves to get his butt chewed... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif
