Excellent work http://blogs.smh.com.au/mashup/images/applause.gif

I didn't like the bullet scene at the end, but that's personal taste i guess.

Quite enjoyable, my only criticism is that all the 109s seem to use the same skin and markings of <-+-
I know for ease of making this is ideal but it did ruin a bit of the immersion for me, overall thoug hI quite enjoyed it, definately some interesting filters used in the post production!

maybe some constructive criticisms.

The line "Fall of the Luftwaffe" shouldn't be so obstructed with dark segments.

The aircraft is really much too dark here. It needs a bit more detail.

The atmospheric effect is good. Just to overly dark IMO.

even my old photography teacher would be right about that one. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Sorry to be pedantic but:

A movie dedicated for those who lost they're lives fighting for our liberty today

You mean, "A movie dedicated to those who lost their lives fighting for our liberty today".

I think that the movie itself looks very professional.

However, if you want to be historically accurate then you probably need to look carefully at some of the skins. The B&W underside of the Hurricane was a special scheme for pre-war exercises AFAIK.

Speech volume is too low/music volume is too high. Can't understand a word that the guy is saying.

English and Commonwealth people don't really express themselves that way. It is considered to be trite. You really should consider some kind of spelling and grammar check too.

Yes, it needs correcting in the way Viper shows.

'They're' is short for 'they are'.

Yeah you wouldn't really see us saying workds like 'liberty'. You might want to change it to 'freedom' to make it less americanised but it doesn't detract from the nice movie you made

And the bullet, well a copper jacketed Hollow point?

Neat idea though.

While you impress me with your technical ability, the narrative of this film flows like a late Jean-Luc de Goddard film. Except for the part where the aircraft are shooting at each other, I was usually thinking: "wtf?" I was especially confused by the "April 1945" tag.

Less new wave, more Aristotle...you know, beginning, middle, and end.

I forgot to say that everything I've seen by you is brilliant - well 'directed' is the the way I would put it.

I admire your technical skills but your knowledge of history and particularly of the Battle is, I am obliged to say, sadly lacking.

You really must read up on the history of a subject before you start work on it.

The Battle of Britain took place in 1940 not 1942. The actual dates of the battle were from 10 July 1940 until 31 October 1940.

The context of the date April 1945, other than being very close to end of the war in Europe, is totally lost on me.

Hurricanes and Spitfires were the main RAF aircraft involved (there were others) not just the Hurricane. In general the tactics were to use the Hurricanes against the bombers and the Spitfires against the Bf 109 escorts.

I would suggest that you get a copy of the 1969 movie Battle of Britain to get an idea of what really happened. But, to really understand the battle you will need to read as many books on the subject as you can lay your hands on.

Here are three short excerpts from the movie.

A couple of points I failed to make clear in regard to the dates of the Battle:

In July 1940 Italy had been in the war for only a month, they took a very small and insignificant part in the battle. It would not be until Dec 1941 that Japan and the USA would be at war.

Thus the background map and the dialogue from 0:37 to 1.00 of the movie are a a complete nonsense.

I like it overall, but an intro shouldn't be 2 minutes of 8.

Get on with it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Firstly well done these are time consuming to do.

Personally

I turned the sound off it was a bit more bearable, terrible bass distortion, cant hear the voices, visually too dark.

I don't however see it as a classic movie from IL2 too many errors with plane skins and history time lines.

Turning the sound off makes it just another IL2 movie.

IMHO

No. But your friend is in good company as seemingly 90% of the English-speaking world has terrible grammar and is clueless about the usage of contractions.

They're = They + are
"They're going to the store."

Their = Possessive form of "they."
"The store is theirs."

They are two very different words.
