I asked this question yesterday and now it's gone. ???? I guess I'll ask it again. I am unable to launch the game so I uninstalled it and I'm trying to reinstall it giving the game it's choice of where to install, instead of installing it where I want it. I thought this might clear up my other problem, which is that the game can't seem to create an important file. Now when I try to reinstall (it wants to install on C) the install program doeasn't run and I get a message telling me to make sure the target is accessible. C is plenty accessible, so I don't know what the holdup is. Any ideas?

Bought Revelation today and had the same problem -

Basically it's saying your harddrive hasn't got enough space to install. I'm guessing you selected Complete instead of Minimum? that requires 8 gig approx. of harddrive space. Make sure you have enough, if not, delete some stuff or select the smaller install option.

Hope that helps http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

PrincessX, you mean this thread:
http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=580100736&m=3291029722

It's still there, just sunken to the bottom.

gr0ss nailed it on the head. Free up some disc space. Funny error to tell you that, but there you go.

Oh, yeah -- that thread! Thanks, Maz. Thanks, grOss -- I'll check that out.

Well, I did that and installed it on C but I still get the same original error message about not being able to create the directory. I don't suppose anyone has any fresh insight on this?

Is your My Documents folder pointing at the root directory of a drive? If so, you'll have to create the folders manually. Make a directory under My Documents/ named "myst4-revelation savegames" and under that "journal". It should be able to make its files after that.

Well, excellent! Thank you -- that worked fine. I tried that before, but I guess I must have missed the "journal" part.

I hope this problem is just a bug and will be fixed.
