Just because i felt like bringing this up after a post by Crash who has been crazy tonight BTW, what are some of your childhood memories? Im prolly pushing the barrier between socialising on these forums here, but feck it! So heres one of mine.

I remember it was My birthday, and we are at the seaside at Clacton, staying in a caravan. Later on in the afternoon we are all walkin to the beach(me my sisters and mum and dad) when all of a sudden, my mum goes tumblin head first down the slope to the beach along with my sister in her buggy http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif They were all covered in sand and my little sister was crying her eyes out. Talk about a scene! MUM WTF? lol i was so embarassed. To top that off, my brand new arsenal kit wasnt to survive the day, by the time i had got home i realised i left it on the beach and when i got there it was gone! The bastar*s took it. Ill never forgive em whoever it was. Oh well was a good 8th Bday all the same.

IBTL = In Before The Lock. Crash is implying that I should lock this as I locked his version. His version was a tad blue for this forum http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I don't speak Aussie. What does "a tad blue" exactly mean?

In Merrika, "Blue" means naughty. Like a Blue Movie (adult film)

Rated PG-13 for nudity, sex-related dialogue and humor

Or the sequel

Rated PG-13 for sexual innuendo, crude humor and language

Like I said... a little bit blue.

I'll tell a bad childhood story:

Setting: I have a sister that was born on the same day as I, but 10 years older. Thus she is currently 50, I am 40.

OK, this is what happened... On my 7th birthday, I woke up and went through the entire day, waiting in anticipation for the cake and ice cream, the presents, and the fun that is always associated with having a birthday.

My sister, was at some sort of summer camp as I recall.

You guessed it... My parents forgot it was my birthday. (I later discovered that they even remembered to send a birthday card to my sister at camp!) But they had forgotten it was also MY birthday!

I never said a word until I took my bath before bed. I put on my pajamas (Hey, I was 7!) and before going to bed, I went to my mother and reminded her that she had forgotten my birthday, then went to my bed, sadly.

Later they woke me up and had me come into the kitchen for the most miserable and ugly birthday cake ever made. I remember that it had some sort of brown and yellow trimmed icing. In addition to being ugly, they had mispelled my name! (I told you it was upsetting.. I remember this as if it happened yesterday)

Later in life my mother shared with me that upon realizing that she had forgotten the birthday, sent my dad to the store to at least buy a cake. When he returned, he told my mom that the bakery had closed, but he was able to talk a clerk into putting my name on the cake. In his haste, he never bothered to even look at the spelling of the name.

I was never the same afterwards, and have never quite fully recovered... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

LMAO Crash!

Sis loves animals, took heart about one seabird floundering in a tidepool. Ohh-awww she says trying to rescue the poor hapless creature, cormorant or something.
As she hoists it up out of the water, el bird with long sharp beak senses danger and latches onto her right nipple like a newborn who hasnt had a drop o milk in two weeks. Her loving affectionate care for the bird promply ended several seconds later. El bird was dropped to he previous watery spot. Whether bird survived to beak the nipple of another kind sort is unknown.
Personally, i was LMAO. Sister never picked up a strange bird again, tho she now has ducks, chickens, turkeys, cows, ferrets, dogs cats, iguana, and god knows what else, all of them tempered domestic animals.
Camping once, poor skunk, she opened trailer door on skunk in trash at night. Freaked out she slammed door screaming "Its Alive Its ALive!!!" for several long minutes. Skunk heads for hills, proly died of a heart attack before she stopped screaming about his liveliness.

Oh thats enough o the light stuff.

Cheer up Fehler, It could have been worse, they could have bought you an Arsenal Football Kit http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

My worst memory was as a 9 year old i was unwell, it got worse, but still i went to school... This went on till I got so bad I was allowed to stay in bed one day, again I was bad and off my food, My mum finally called the Doc how told her my Appendix had ruptured, I was rushed to Hospital and straight into theater... That little moment, I was lying there in Pre op getting prepped and asked my mum "what are they going to do?" She smiled and said they were going to cut me open and take a bit out.. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif My heart stopped twice apparently and I was in hospital poorly for 3 weeks afterwards. They put a drain in me and i used to have to go to the toilets and replace a puss filled bag at school, till it was out, still have a little round indent at the end of my scar even now.... Asked her once and she said she thought i was trying to skive off school.......
