Get it from here:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_77.72.html

Let's know if it fixes the UZO bug.

Hehe, I just finished downloading them, and was going to post about this, but you already did. :-)

Have a blast, and let no allied merchant escape.

Says "Particle" effects still do not render correctly, in driver release notes? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Uh... does this effect Geforce 3 ti500s?

I'm just asking because I've never experienced particle problems or UZO bugs.

Someone please report back after testing these drivers! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

O.K. I installed them and will test!

QUESTION:

Where is the refresh rate override switch, with these new drivers, for the various resolutions?

Tried it with versions 1.0, 1.2 and 1.4b of SH3, it works great, spray bug is fixed.

Is it me or do these new drivers virtually elminate the visible, spray particles, when looking through the UZO, even in extremely, choppy seas?

It seems that I see a lot more spray with my binos.

I hope this "Fix" isn't just an elimination of the rendered sea spray, like the patch workaround?

I tend to believe so due to the fact that the UZO particles, "<span class="ev_code_RED">Not rendering correctly</span>", is till mentioned as an "UNRESOLVED" issue in the 77.72, Driver Release Notes.

As the 77.62 the 77.72 seems to resolve the spray Nvidia bug. I say "seems" cause it seems to reduce the particle effect whithout negative effect on smoke.
I can't compare with an ATI card but I think it should must be done.

Yeah the uzo big seems to have gone, but less particle fx are present i think. Running nVidia 5900 for reference

The new nvidia drivers has messed up shadows on other games. I have a FX 5200. Anyone else experience this?

Does anyone know where the "Refresh Rate Override" for different resolutions, went with these drivers?

I can't find the adjustment anywhere?

I use FX5200 - the drivers killed my video. It made the game more smooth - but reduced my computer to a gaming machine.

now im back at the old drivers from April

Charlie901, i believed same as you that the nvidea fix was same as the ubisoft one but i just ran another mission and did see spray at bottom of the uzo rendered correctly flowing past, looked right not like the old fog type view.

If you are any good with the registry (Start button, Run, type in regedit) go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/NVIDEA Corporation/Global/NvTweak .Highlight NvTweak directory then go to Edit at top of window and add NEW DWORD Value, You then type in noting the caps and without the quotes, "NvCplDisableRefreshRatePage" and then press Enter key, close the window. You will then have the overide refresh rates back in driver.

Some people use "coolbits" to get overide refresh rates plus other things including overclocking sliders to show up but i do the manual way to just get the overide refresh rates back, it is easier than it looks to add the new DWORD setting.

Apparently the overide refresh rates was hidden in the 7* series of drivers because of a performance hit when using it but i have never had any probs using it, i seem to have more probs setting up my monitor correctly when i dont use it.

Or you could go to START/RUN and type dxdiag.exe and hit enter, a DirectX Diagnostic tool will come up..

Go to the more help tab "last tab".

Click on the Override button.

Check the override value box.

Type the refresh rate that you want to force.

Click ok and your done!

Just two problem with that PorkSoda75, doesnt help with opengl games or put the overide option back in nvidea drivers that charlie901 wants http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
