...but I have a feeling that the Do-335 - flown the right way - might be a serious contender for the King of BnZ Aircraft.

This thing has power, energy, and speed for days, and sharp teeth to boot!

Definitely not "porked", this one...

Great patch! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

Maybe not the king, I shot down 7 without reply in a TA152 last night. It's good, but not the king.

As I said on another thread, the thing's climb is it's outstanding characteristic, not the speed. The Do 335 at 90 percent-plus power almost can't help but climb.

It's fast, but not peppy. Speed has to be built up. Lose speed and you won't get it back quickly enough. It's not maneuverable -- especially since tight turns bleed off speed -- but it responds well enough to get the guns on target.

I've already had the pleasure of having my front engine knocked out and flying away on the rear one.

In quick mission when AI they keep running into each other?
Anyone else noticed that?

Haven`t had chance to test how AI`s been affected yet. Since most everyone`s just getting high testing the new planes I think it will be a few days yet before anyone gets to the meat of the AI and other parts of the sim...

When flying one of the new Italian planes in a QMB, we popped 4 Mossies, then I attacked a nearby enemy A/F.

As it had 4 or 5 flak guns, I instructed my wingman to ground attack/flak, at which he promptly flew kamakazi style right into the ground http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or a feature http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

The AAA seems much deadlier now. Not like the levels of insanity that once existed, but much rougher.

AI pilot gunnery is still bad, bad, bad.

You sure about this?

I'm a ground pounder and the Sturmo is _still_ all I fly, like, y'know, semi-seriously - though I might add certain planes to my hangar now that things're the way they are http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif But still, as far as I've noticed the flak ain't any different than what it was before... or maybe it's just me improving, albeit slowly? Duh...

Now I'm _not_ saying U is wrong or anything, but I just haven't noticed any changes yet. Would you mind elaborating a bit Sir?
