If you crash in a large body of water (not in a river) and bail out, look under the water. Off in the distance you can see marine life. Maybe I just need to clean my monitor or maybe I'm sitting to close to the litter boxes, you know ammonia can make you hallucinate.

Go fly over d,12 on the Crimea map, there's a herd of gazelle charging all over the place. There's a lion chasing them, but you have to be flying in no cockpit view to see it.

Tsisqua waves at Commie. Seriously, WWII fighters had deer running around. I used to do a quick mission with no enemies, and go deer hunting with a P-38. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

That reminds me of some of the user created missions for Janes ATF. One of them had you at some base in Alaska (IIRC) and the briefing said you were low on food, so it was your mission to take the A-10, fly about 5-10 miles from the base and go moose hunting. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

That guy made up a whole bunch of crazy missions like that, but they were some of the best I've ever played in any sim. A lot of them were completely off the wall, but they were very well designed and a lot of fun.

I saved my ammo for the infantry and other targets. Killing deer doesn't really hurt the enemies war effort. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Janes WWII fighters was a good game.

The P47 in Janes (with default FMs anyway) probably
didn't have an accurately modelled FM, just more
generous, perhaps.

If you fly over the Lenningrad map, take a left turn at the post office and 2 blocks north is a petshop.

You can't miss it as its just across the road from the hairdressers and the Kebab shop .

I was flying the Finland campaign trying perfect settings on my machine (only got like 10 fps, which is why I don't use them normally), and after crash-landing my G-2 in the snow, my pilot started to run only to be tackled and devoured by a bear! It was pretty cool, can't remember the exact location, but I think I was about 20km NW of Leningrad.
