Funny, I was just looking at the Crysis website... So far it looks like Crytek has been hitting the A+ mark with their games, this one will be good.

Good grief, why'd they post the first take? They should've let those two guys have a couple of goes before going gold.

Having said that.

OMFGHF! That's indistinguishable from REAL. Did you see the end of the gun barrel brushing aside leaves? WAH!

I'll be keeping an eye out on this one. Looking good Crytek!

Nice foliage at Toms HQ there.

That's nothing yet, Ploughman. You'd wonder what's all in there. Graphics and physicswise it's "the" game to play. Oh, and the story has some neat surprises, too.

In case any of you gents also works in the game industry and is in Frankfurt at the end of October, check this out:

Let's just say Thursday is somewhat connected to Crytek =)

That is simply unbelievable.

The 'headshake' is a bit overdone IMHO. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I had to do a double take to see if that was a movie.... it looks like someone in their back yard with a camera... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

That was not a game. I think it was thrown in as a joke.

Now this, people, is the way of the future.

I foresee flight sims in the future having goodies like what we see here... The very distant future...

...this looks like about where the technology should have taken it by now...a definite purchase for me you betcha

I have been waiting for this since I first saw the developer screenshots months ago. I pre-ordered a supposedly collectors edition with other manuals and a 'special limited release vehicle' so will have to wait till mid November to get it and hopefully the new computer will play it OK but will probably need a better video card, waiting to see the goodies and storyline in depth.

i agree, no way was that in game footage. Someone having a bit of fun in their back yard with an air rifle and a handycam. Nice try lol, graphics will be good but not that good lol

Here's the original version of the unbelievably realistic clip that was included in the 'Toms Games' review.

Yeah, I thought it was real in-game footage too, using some as yet unseen settings.

I think the clips inclusion in the review is a bit too deceptive really. Whether the reviewers were just joking around or were themselves deceived I don't know.

The thing that helped me fall for it though, apart from wishful thinking, (rant mode on)is that I think that's what current technology should be capable of, and would be capable of, if the technology wasn't being drip-fed to us so that we can be bled for our money every tiny step of the way (rant mode off).

Oh well, at least I only told one other person about it, even describing it by saying it looked just like what you'd see if someone grabbed a video camera and...

Les.

I must say that it didn't fool me as in the end shot they show a crappy vehicle(why bother modelling that car?) Good try, maybe the future for graphics in a few years though.

Wow this game is very impressive...

But there is a very wide difference between max and low setting....

I have the same result! But I lower the grapichs in order to have more smoother gameplay.
Escpecially Antialiansing makes game slower.
