Anyone know if this bird will be flyable any time soon? This way, I can creat Bermuda Triangle missions. Set up 5 Avengers, and have them fly around the Triangle until they run out of gas and crash into the ocean.

LMAO Maple_Tiger that might be a cool one to do. Then we could find all 5 of the originals by flying their route. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Now we've gotta ask Oleg for a map of the "Triangle". http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

This might just be the only way to solve the mystery of the Triangle. We need the Avenger for Science! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

This screenshot proves without a doubt that there is a hidden Bermuda map in Pacific Fighters. Once we have the Avenger nothing will stop us!

The other reason I would enjoy the Avenger is because it was used often to fling silly little things called torpedoes at big things called ships, and because something in excess of 10,000 Avengers were made. But Bermuda first!

Wait a second! That's a Ki-43 over the Bermuda Triangle! There's no way a Japanese light fighter could end up on the other side of the Americas like that...unless..That's no Triangle, it's a space station.

Although in all seriousness he probably used the dimensional portal in the Devil's Sea just off Japan to pop up in Bermuda. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Not having a carrier based flyable torpedo bomber for either side is the biggest problem with this excellent addition to the IL2 series.
Can someone in command tell us if the "Avenger" will become flyable?

A lot of aircraft and boats have been found at the bottom of the Atlantic, but as far as I know, flight 19 has yet to be found. In 1991, five Avengers were found, but the serial numbers did not match any of those in flight 19. There is much speculation as to what happened, they may have flown well out into the Atlantic or they may have turned around and ended up in the Gulf of Mexico. The area of a possible crash site is so large that finding them is more likely to be the result of pure accident rather than by a concerted effort.

Negative, however, they did find 5 Avengers. It turned to be another flight.
