Seem your guys like to reports what has happened on Warclouds lately http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif That's my turn now :P

For the whole night (or morning US time) the top three pilots were all flying Mustang, Fish6891 made it to an unbelievable 1680 points http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif, =SB= came to second with 1200+ points http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif, and me? hehe, I made 800 points before my connection broke, but before that I didn't receive any damage for the whole night http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

one thing I am wondering, isn't Fish a LW jockey?

We are slowly converting him although he doesn't want to admit it. Every night I go on he's flying around in a Mustang talking about how much he's beginning to like it.

Sorry Fish for calling you out, but ya gotta tell your blue boys that you're flying for red now. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

If you had taken time to check the stats you would have seen myself, BF-109K4, and 2350 points all in a pretty row.
The Mustang is outdated, it has had its day.

More depends on the pilot than the plane.

lol, not really, at least I withnessed a dramatic drop of productivity once he switched to a Jug after he got 1680 points.... One hour later he has only one more kill, and suddenly he left.... proably being deathkicked?

ive heard from a good source, that fish has killed over 90 enemy planes in warclouds, over the last three days. with only eight deaths. flying both sides.

congrats fish

Truth be told, if you are good in the dora, you are good in the mustang, they are very similar. I imagine, the recent release of "six fifties" has inspired more people to fly the mustang and has shown them how to dominate with it. This was what I was hoping for because I was noticing a shortage of mustangs and an influx of spitfires on warclouds. Sparx and exos have always been loyal though. Got to give them credit for not just being "fair weather fans" like mr.robin 1337. Also this is why it would be cool to have stats available to the public on warclouds.

Ive hit 1500 points on HL before, I usually keep my moth shut though because I prefer to stay as the grey-man.

source? what source? combed out directly from the log file on the server?

But I wonder, how it can be done? 1680 points, I assume it was obtained from 20 planes... it was already MORE than the number of planes that I had a chance to engage for the whole night! At the end I got 8 of them, damaged 4 or 5 more (they dive away and handled by spit).... I thought it is not a bad success ratio, but after withnessing what others can do I am totally amazed.... I am a big noob!!!

BAAAHHH :P, Thanks fer the kind words P1ngu, Zen, and Rat(except for the shooting me part http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif). Currently on college break AND parents took the car for the week....so combine lotsa free time with a lack of transportation and you get me in WC all morning and early afternoons http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif.

Owlsphone(Fox), sorry but I still favor my blue Focke-Wulfs over anything http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif. Flying red has been quite interesting tho, you'll find me on red a lot more often than you use to http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

FatBoy, whats that you said about my Jug skillzzz?! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/354.gif Not to gloat or anything, but I'm much more likely to be killed in a Mustang than in a Jug, thanks in a large part to inspiration from some crazy Jug experts like Wuaf_Hero. Myself and NIK(The guy I was flying with, really deadly pilot and really cool guy) simply decided to go into BnZ mode in Jugs at 7500m....unfortunately in that Normandy map no one attacks/defends the targets like their suppose to. Finding targets in a huge non-winter map at that altitude became very tedious. Eventually NIK had to go, and I got bored soon after and left. Great flying that night tho FatBoy, I did notice you were kickin' butt, you should get on teamspeak more often, it'd be interesting to wing with you http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

Sir.Robin..... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Regards,
Fish

I agree.... the less TnB you do you longer you live, and smart guys don't TnB on a jug... I an interested in it too, but its cockpit really pissed my off... it really need a total revamp!

IIRC I have never scored when I fly above 7000m.... No one is there, execpt those friendly planes which you think they are bandits (and vice versa), and those TA152 come in every half any hour.... Indeed, we need heavy bombers badly...

And NIK14.... I forget to mention him too, another top scorer last morning....

You are d@mn right... I remebered on that small winter map, we really took a heavy toll on the blue side... kill message popped up every minute!!! I thought we were actually competing with each other, see who can land more kills, instead of competing with the blue team...

On big, forest map, very often I end a sorties with my ammo untouched...

Once a Fw 190 flyer, always a Fw 190 flyer, there simply is no other option but the occasional "comparison" flights in other crates! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

You guys could get alot more points in WarClouds if you follow my advice.

Increase the deathkick to 10...that way I could stay in the game alot longer....

you joking? what is the point of talking about "points" then? A low deathkick is the way to make the point system meaningful....

I would even support a immediate deatkick (you have one life only), it will force everyone to fly in a realistic and historic way, no more air-quake mentiality!!! but of course, it is not feasible..

Didnt Sir Robin claim the mustang was the best plane in the game a few weeks ago? Funny thing is for all his self boasting I have never seen him in a online dogfight server.

Tell me if I am wrong but this is my take on the historical Mustang.
It was designed for long escort missions. Long escort missions means you will be cruising a lot. Also you will need a engine that will hold up for long flights.
So you design a plane for good cruising, meaning retains energy well in level flight. The engine has to be durable to maintain long operational hours. Not durable in engine hits just operational. It was not design to knock down bombers, or a lot of ground pounding. Even though it did some groun pounding.
It turns ok at slow to medium speeds but real good at high speeds. Maintains energy well at level height and made for high altitude.
So if you look at what a plane was design to do and if they produced that plane for that result that is the way you fly it.

I had problems at first flying Mustang. Now getting better becuase I understood what its strenghts and weakness is.

This is true for any plane or pilot. What gives a advantage is some virtual pilots have thier favorite so they will spend more time with that plane, and he can make that plane look uber.
I fly the mustang because it just fits me well. Starting to like the Jug real well too.

When I am in Mustang, I remember a line from the Wizard of Oz. I click my heels 3 times and say there is no place like home 3 times. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
