did the germans have dodgy maps?

Well their not American, their Romanian, and why must you try to turn a simple problem with Geography of a city into an attack on American intelligence. I must now point out something you missed...

The Earth is FLAT, the Arctic circle has just as much distance to it as the equator. 10000 KM in the Arctic is the same number of degrees at 10000 KM on the Equator.

my mistake on nationality - i was working on the dot.com bit

but youd think an important aspect of a realstic game would be the damm maps

why we don't have better maps is a puzzle - acodring to these maps theirs only 3 depths of sea!

What's that? Shallow, deep, and deeper? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

Don't worry about it. No one in their right mind would want to dock in Wales anyway.

now if i would live on the coast of europe or anywhere else...i´d say..."Hey I dont see my house standing there...the game s.u.c.k.s"...now y cant u just live with it...so they moved the citys a bit...how often do u visit them anyway...

They got St. Nazaire wrong too. I can understand getting enemy ports wrong, but I can't see how developers of a U-boat simulation could put a major U-boat base 50 miles away and on the coast rather than up a river estuary.

now call me pedantic... but merthyr is probly one of the most land locked towns in Britain.

it's probably near a canal so the [comic] idea of a u boat traipsing thru canal locks under cover of night is a bit fun

I have sailed all the way east to Istanbul. Shores are pretty realistic but we dont have any palm trees there http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif It looks like Saudi Arabia more than Turkey http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You don't even have the Kiel canal... If you start from Kiel you must travel all the way up Denmark and back. Kiel canal was completed end of 19th century but I don't know if was operative in WWII.
