How long do you suppose before it is incorporated into TiR ?

TINTED visor. Tinted to hold in the imagery, and help reduce sun glare.

Cockpit will still be visible, and you will still have to look outside. And there will still be gauges, even if just as a backup.

Still a ways to go get before it's 'pit off. The pilot will probably be gone before that happens.

Werent they also working on something that was similar but with retina tracking.. so a pilot could look at the control and the activate it.

Once this is finished they are one step from seating the pilot comfortably on a couch at headquarters, and letting him fly it from there.

Its nice he can look down and see the ground....I wonder what he hopes to spot moving at 300mph.. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

next step will be genetically engineering the pilots so they can withstand higher G's....Nexus 6 here we come http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

It's a natural evolution of the HUD systems, helmet displays and synthetic vision with radar, infrared and integrated sensor packages all coming together.

Another aspect is that this technology can help surgeons and whatnot as well. Microscopic robotic fingers and synthetic vision will allow doctors to see and treat conditions not previously possible.

They could at least make it look half-decent. That just looks bloody fugly.
