Its not AC:3 its AC: Brotherhood so its just the next step of Ezio's life not a new Assassin be patient AC:3 will most likely be Huge. Plus they have made Rome about the same size as the old game anyway so im not sure what your moan is there. Rather than travelling from place to place the whole game will in one walls (the city of Rome) everyone is very excited about Brotherhood mate but we are all over the fact that this is not AC:3 which i can almost guarentee will be more than one city were ever they choose to host it.

I'll tell you what, i am not a fan boy of people calling it AC3! lol

They are only confusing it for AC3 because it's on the console like the other majors!

Rome is 4 TIMES bigger than Venice and it will supply you with like 20 hours of gameplay!! Don't be disappointed! It will be great seeing as you have it all and you can even upgrade it!

BTW the Villa is only in the very first mission like on the demo!

Rome is 3 times the size of Venice, you get 15 hours of SP gameplay without doing any of the side missions and 22+ hours at 100%.

Desmond will feature in the game but the devs claim it won't be until later in the storyline, I can imagine when he does appear it will be in dramatic fashion http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Yep, as others have said, Roma is a really, really big city. Expect it to be larger than Firenze & Venezia combined. Also, I don't suppose they'll add weather effects? Some rain would add to the feel of the missions. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I got my Venices and Florences mixed up, I was thinking about the interview with Patrice (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-assassins-creed/700148) and remembered he had said Venice when it was actually Florence, my bad http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Agreed weather would be a nice feature also the time of day would be good. Obviously not a watch but sundials and that clocks on churches maybe i am not sure if telling the time had advanced that far in this period as i have not covered that area in my studys yet. Did they not have a clock on Sa Giacomo Di Rialto i dont think it actually worked in the game though as in you couldnt tell the time from it i dont think.

People have been building clocktowers as we know them now since the 13th century, so it's safe to say Rome would have some as well in 1500. Although it might be weird seeing them move extremely fast.

Calling it your opinion doesn't make it any less wrong. Rome is the only city. Devs have confirmed this. Several times. Now please stop spreading false information under the guise of opinions.

I was watching this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqZlioiBfSc) and I find it a bit weird that Jean-Francois Boivin says you can ride your horse in [b]cities[b/] rather than just saying "Rome". However, I expect he just means in the Villa (don't know the name of the place) and Rome. I'll let you ponder about this.

Anyways, he also says that the horse is for free roaming, among other things. Firstly, if it is just Rome, then by free roaming we can only assume he means inside Rome itself. Now, how large can this city be if a horse is (almost) required to go round the city (if my assumption is correct)?

IMO, one city is enough. The multiplayer, as well as just being set in Rome, is enough for me to be satisfied.

ok guys i'm sorry!the right title about the game is only AC:B......agreed!..anyway,i'm thinking that there might be some small countrside towns...because the horse will be more useful than just free roam in the city

Also, the Multiplayer can be played in numerous cities including Florence, Rome and San Donato with more to be announced!

But how big are these cities? I honestly doubt they will put exact replicas from AC2. And, excuse my ignorance, but, which is San Donato?

Don't think they'll be replicas, just different districts! And what's so bad about having replicas?

San Donato is new so i don't know.

I looked it up and there is one near Milan, Rome and Southern Italy.

Maybe it is a Roman District?

OMFG, I can't believe I've never thought of that (I'm not joking)! Weather! That's fantastic! It'd also get you to see the cities in a different atmosphere. It'd be another step forward from AC2, like AC2's time of day system was to AC1's.

Imagine the following scenario:

The sun is setting down on the horizon. Ezio stands atop a rooftop, overlooking il Foro Romano, awaiting his enemies' secret meeting. The pigeons rustle as all of a sudden, a thunderstorm veils over Roma.

Rain starts pouring down, the crowd loudly clamoring as they seek shelter from the downpour. Soon enough, nothing can be heard but the gallons of water going down the drains, and Ezio still waits patiently. Then they come, a robed man accompanied by four guards, carrying a conspicuous package. They meet with a courier, handling him the package and escorting him slowly to his mount.
Ezio knows it's time, it's now or never. He extends his blades and leaps towards the party, assassinating two of the guards. The party, dumbfounded, doesn't even get a chance to think as he launches a pair of throwing knives at the other guards' throats, and dispatches of the robed man with his pistola. For a second, Ezio's and the courier's eyes meet.

The chase is on.

The courier quickly mounts his horse, gaining an advantage, but Ezio is quick to think: he climbs the scaffolding of a building and rushes alongside the road, with his white stallion waiting for him. He jumps and lands on his mount, continuing to chase his target. An archer aims for him, only to have his throat pierced by a well placed crossbow arrow; Ezio never misses. With the rain blasting his face and the thunderstorm roaring, he knows there's little chance for him to catch up.

An eagle's cry is heard as white robed shadows start appearing on the rooftops, and Ezio smirks as one of the shadows leaps towards the courier.

I hope they do add weather but I hope it isnt TOO excesive like every time you kill someone a Thunderstorm appears.(IDK why I said that but) And I also hope that it doesnt occur on just specific missions like on the mission where you have to kill one of the Borgia it always rains, I want it to be random, but not tooo excesive.
