Yup thats right what mechanical device do you regularly find yourself beating the **** outta.

For me its our bloody works vending machine almost every time I select salt and vinegar crisps (patato chips) the dam packet sticks against the bloody glass and I am reduced to some parody of neolithic man screaming and battering the glass in an attempt to dislodge my teetering packet of salted vinegary potato passion.

My recent conflict with the afore mentioned mechanical punch bag kinda got me wondering what item you guys find yourself in combat with on a regular basis.

P.c's count but are kind of a cop out http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I run the mainframe for my company and that involves huge amounts of tape backups. I regularly beat the piss out of our tape drives. Try backing up a library for over an hour only to have it cancel at the last step due to the lousy tape drive. One time I threw a tape at the dirve and broke the glass door on it. I thought I was fired for sure! I told my boss that I swung the door open and hit the tape cart by accident and he bought it! I now only resort to verbal abuse of the tape drives. **** stupid fu*%$!@)#!! tape drives!

Dammit, I THOUGHT you were lying to me.

You're fired.

(haha, I actually saw something like this once, on bash.org, some guy badmouthing his boss and another guys says "hey, do you work at XXXXXX?" and the first guy says "yeah, why?" guy 2: "Thats me you're talking about. don't bother coming in tommorow.")

I did throw my stereo system in the bin once (very unlike me actually).

It had already chewed up 2 cassettes previously and just when I`d cleaned it up and fixed it, the very next day it chewed up and spat out my most favourite `oldie` tape, the only one of its kind that I`ve had for YEARS. Then when I carefully tried to unravel it in the hope of salvage, just one end came out cos the git had snapped the tape in HAALLFF!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Without a moment`s thought I took the whole system out and stuffed it in a big metal wheelie bin thing. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif Never to be seen again. Oh and busted it up a bit first for good measure.

Ha! Taught it a lesson it`ll never forget! Oh yes. They do feel it, y`know. he,he... he http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

My computer has been making a strange fizzing sound every now and then. . . a good smack on the side of the cse clears it right up for at least a half hour. . . and they tried to tell me I needed a new computer!

The one that I broke was an antique reel to reel drive. Our company is so cheap they won't upgrade anything unless it's absolutely necessary. We finally switched all of our reel tapes out for cartridges. We had over one thousand tapes in our library so you can see why I would lose it! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

computer keyboards, desks, random computer hardware (comp case) and gaming console controllers..

I really looove throwing those controllers when i lose a game, i tore a Super Nintendo controller to bits once, bit pieces out of another in frustration before i headed off in a general tour de destruction in my room http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I also found myself throwing my own expensive glasses around, but that was a never-again experience.. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Once upon a time, I dropped a 19" TV off of a 3rd story fire escape. REALLY LOUD POP!! Sounded like a gun shot. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

Beating up machinery or other things has been too expensive for me. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif

The best now is busting apart crates and skids with a 24 oz. ball peen hammer.
A 3lb. mini-sledge hammer is good, too. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I had therapy for 48 months - haven't broken stuff for some time. There's a TV set, a tape recorder, a bicycle, a couple of joysticks, some CDs, kitchen stuff + a rather large quantity of keyboards & mice burning in hell because of me... It felt good though http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Lol I feel your pain mate I worked in an Ibm tape silo /barn (whatever you wana call it) for a few years and they had something in the region of 40,000 tapes at one point running on 14 drives which needed their hoppers to be supplied with scratch tapes constantly through out the night and day. I left in the end but they were looking at getting a robot to do it, one that didnt answer back http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Nice bike btw Mopai only thing wrong with it is the rear suspension and the gears http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I just broke mine outta the garage again and am currently rediscovering the joy that is ****ing yourself silly on a bike http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif who knows if I ever sell the car I may be able to afford some of the new models that are coming out at the moment.

That brings me onto a side point.... Is it me or did bikes just get stoopid scary expensive all of a sudden ? I mean you can buy a bloody motor bike for the price of some bloody suspension forks these days?

ahh well good posts guys makes the time pass till ome time thx
