Seems that Oleg posts on there more than here, maybe he is appreciated more there than here.I was at Birmingham flight sim show and he was not very impressed with the whinging on here and maybe he has been driven away, shame ,a nice man [from the few mins we spoke to him] and still the best flight sim in exsistance [until BoB in 2005 LOL]

can you name a russian plane that ever under performed in climb rates, damage, gunner effectiveness at close or long range, not being able to slow down with CSP constant speed propellar, blacking out before vvs brit or us planes in the same g turns, any of them not having mixture, overheating way too quick etc, just seems funny to me to be honest, and he wonders why people here think that.

Also every single flaw in non russian planes are put into the sim immediatly but theres no airframe overstressing in a russian sim which is pretty amazing and I wonder why they left it out. Also the russians complained about divespeeds and got an extra 100kmph added to thier dive before breaking up which gave them even more of an advantage even at 5000-6000.

Once again list one undermodeled russian plane even the i153 and i16 are above the charts in climb and damage model,.

Heres one q&a from a review i been working on the last 6 months from real pilots and historians. Im working on getting more interviews so far I have 11 with the same 20 questions. When im finished It will be posted on the flightsim sights with the reference emails for admins only.

Q: Willow Grow (PA) Airshow: I KNOW YOU RECENTLY FLOWN THE PC SIM, IL2 FORGOTTEN BATTLES. ("THAT I BOUGHT HIM A COPY http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif") WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT ITS REALISM.

A: Dr. James Young, Chief Historian: AS FAR AS REALISM IS CONCERNED, I HAVE TO SAY I WAS DISAPOINTED. THERE ARE NO BASIC FLIGHT DYNAMICS AT ALL THAT REAL WWII FLIGHT HAVE TO OFFER, SLIGHT ELEVATION AND PITCH CHANGES IN LEVEL FLIGHT, GUNSITE VIBRATION, CONTROL SURFACE TENSION, TO ME ITS FITS INTO THE CATEGORY OF THE WELL KNOWN OTHERS SIMS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. THE FLYING ON A WIRE FEELING FLIGHT SIM. I DID GROW FOUND GUNNERY DESPITE THE INADEQUACIES OF WEAPONS EFFECTIVENESS AT 1000M AND MUZZLE FLASH OBSCURITY. I HAVE TO SAY IT IS THE BEST WWII COMBAT SIM CUURENTLY MADE AND WILL BE AT THE TOP SEEING ITS COMPETITION.

I think removing sonar effect will correct this skill & tactic problem at least over 30%.

Sonar, Sonar.. Damn Sonar. /i/smilies/16x16_robot-sad.gif

Before tweaking FM for balance and complain, Oleg should remove sonar effect. (thou it may not be good for plain gamers) Ah, I got an idea that sonar effect should be included in difficulty setting. (sonar effect in easy mode. /i/smilies/16x16_robot-very-happy.gif )

Yes that tail warning radar (sound) puts a real damper on using correct RL LW tactics. The LOD modelling does not help either with using RL LW tactics.
