On patrol Grid AM01, 1939. Type VIIb.

Using RuB mod 1.41 (with slow reload on deck gun). 100% reality.

Been harassing a convoy all night. 1 torp left, rear tube. Get in position. Boom !!, took out the only convoy escort with a shot about 1200m. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Surface the boat. Man the deck gun. (The weather is permitting http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif). Cruise up beside the "little guys" (about 300m) and start plinking away with the deck gun. This is the first time I've EVER been presented with such an opportunity and I'm taking advantage of it. With the slow reload times with RuB 1.41, I've been hacking away at Coastal and small merchants for 3 hours now (game time) and have sunk 3. I should be able to pick off about another 3 before the ammo runs out. Weather is looking good and I'm outside of aircraft coverage. It is a good day to be a Capt. on this boat. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

It doesn't happen often but apparently, it does happen...... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yes,.... I fully realize the "shootin in a barrel" situation isn't going to last, but for right now, the boys on the 88 are havin a blast. I've heard about these situations, but didn't think I'd ever experience it. .....just glad she's calm on the seas right now.

It happens often in the begining of the war. You just described my prefered way of destroying whole convoy. U never have enough torps http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Try going into scapa flow in 42. Be sure to send us all some nice sea shells from the bottom.

lmfao

I'll vouch for that one. I bet I've left at least 9 boats on the bottom of that **** harbor.

Loch Ewe on the other hand. I got the latest battery upgrade in 42, I can go in submerged on silent running from the islands west of Loch Ewe and get past all the elmo boats and any warships patrolling around. Scapa on the other hand, thats pure tension. hehe, I think Ill try it tonight, what the heck.

I said nothing of '42. I just ment there is a reason why they called begining of the war "happy times". I was quite happy http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif. For instance, i ran into a convoy, c2, c3, even 1 t3 and 5+ other ships. No ESCORTS, no guns whatsoever. I had just 2 fishes in my can, fired them and got greedy. So I surfaced, and started shelling. Thre ships sailed away, me & two neutrals. As I sad, it was the happy times, for me, anyway http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
