Battle of Brittian, the new game oleg is working on... it should be out in two weeks or so http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif You might also see SOW which is storm of war... same thing as BOB... hence SOW:BOB (Storm of War: Battle of Brittian).

Battle of Britain. The next sim from the firm that made Il-2. First in a projected series that will encompass many more theatres, entitled 'Storm of War' - or SoW. Bizzare as it may sound, the first announced add-on looks like being the Korean war

It will be totally imcompatable with the current sim. To say no news on a release date would be a bit of an understatement. Just what computer kit you'll need to run it is again anyone's guess.

Hopefully someone'll be along soon with a few links to work in progress.

Above is the company's forum that is producing SoW:BoB. Prepare for a blinding color scheme, however, lol.

I'll be particularly interested to find out, as I have just rebuilt my rig after a year of service. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Panther! How are you doing, me old chum?

That thread of yours explaining how you put your rig together gave me a lot more confidence to tinker myself - I'm sure I'm not the only one. Good to see you posting here again. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yeah, moved on a bit since then. That rig I built (about a year ago, IIRC) was pretty good but I just gutted and rebuilt it, new motherboard, the works. Even went for a bigger PSU (850W). The new mobo is another ASUS of similar spec but with the 1333 frontside bus. I've been in a bit of a 'buildathon' over the last three weeks. I've built three completely new systems and three major upgrades. All for various family members and all going like clockwork. Smiling faces everywhere! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Sorry don't get it! Pretty familar with the controls. Q. Is BoB to be on the sales rack or is it an add-on?

it will be the next game of MaddoxGames.

SoW, Sound of War, will have a totaly new gameengine - NOT compatible to the IL2 series.
and the Battle of Britain scenario will be the beginning.

release : sometime in 2008 i guess

My understanding is that the *alleged* Korean War title ('Project Galba' at this point) is not being developed as an add-on but instead as a separate sim using the SoW engine. RRG's close professional relationship with 1C:MG facilitates parallel development.
