I was just wondering, what are the benefits of WINNING games like Artifact assault ?
I get kind of annoyed when our team wins 2-0, but the enemy defenders have 6000+ points, while I barely hit 4000 >_>

At first, I was really into these team games, trying to win and stuff... but now I don't really see a reason to try & capture that flag from those... defenders.

AC:R still says you finished 1st if you score the highest points. Even if you are on the losing team. Just more proof that "team" modes are actually not intended on AC:R.

Because the objective of AA is to try your team has the highest artifacts, no the most points. But, some people doesn't understand it, only plays for points and waste the whole match trying to stun or kill by pursuing only for points, they don't defend the artifact or steal the enemy's artifact. Some people play AA as Manhunt, and this is a shame, they ruin the game.

In AA, it doesn't matters if you have more points than your opponent, the important thing is to have the most artifacts. This is the reason because if a match ends 3-2 but the team with two artifacts has the most points, they also lose.

The same should happen with Chest Capture, it should count the number of chests captured, no the points earned. Sometimes a team wins because of stuns, but they doesn't steal almost any chest, and this is not fair.

However, the points score (in AA) counts in the individual classification.

The team with the most captures is declared the winning team.

However, if you have the most points, but are on the losing team, the game still says "you have finished first."

I laugh at anybody who thinks defending will score you more points than attacking(if your doing it right).

yesterday was the first time i ever played aa, and the first session was boring as hell. everyone was standing at the border taunting each other and throwing smokebombs and stunning each other. the second session, when they were doing it again i just said screw it ran for the flag and winning the session. it went on like that for like the next ten sessions, before everyone caught on and we were all running around like chickens with our heads cut off, pure chaos. it was great fun at that point.

AA should be points earned by getting the artifact. Whichever team has the most artifacts wins. The only way to earn points is to try and get an artifact.

CC should be points earned by getting chests. Whichever team has the most chests wins. The only way to earn points is to try and get chests.

Escort should be points earned by killing VIPs. Whichever team has killed the most VIPs wins. The only way to earn points is to try and kill VIPs.

This is just an opinion but if these games were scored this way then they would probably be played right. Ive played AA with randoms and nobody from either side went for the artifact until the last minute. Bit of a waste of time. Ive played CC with randoms and have seen teams just camp at 1 chest and wait to have a stunfest.

While that does sound good, it would only cause Artifact and VIP greed in AA and Escort.

Greed is what the whole game is based on. I want more points than you. I want more kills than you. I want more stuns than you. The only time I care about something in the game is when Im going for a certain challenge. If I play for 10 minutes and dont get a mark on my challenges, I consider it a wasted match. You can have your points and kills and stuns and taunts and blah blah blah! I want my challenges done.

I agree with you on this. It would be nice if they went back to the ACB system where the members of the winning team get the win as well, instead of awarding that by points to an individual. I don't mind showing the individual breakdown, but the point should be to win the game and a team wins or loses together.
