Could anybody tell me how Las Vegas is like in general, besides the fact that it's best known for fancy lighting and whatnot? I've never been to Vegas in my whole entire life, so I'm kinda lost on this one......

Well i think its the fastest growing city in the US.
Its usually Hot and dry as heck. Theres people there from everywhere in the world.
Life mostly, revolves around the GIGANTIC casinos, you know the 4000-5000 room hotels.
I think they are trying to make it more family orientated, cause you know what used to be legal there.
Its trying to change I think.

The whole family oriented slant was a good gimick in the mid 90's but Vegas has gone back to its roots and started wooing back the high-rollers and serious gamblers who made Vegas what it was.

With the advent of Million Dollar Poker and Texas Hold 'em TV, more and more high-stakes players are returning to Vegas.

I have to say that I like the gambler's paradise Vegas over the family oriented Vegas any day of the week. If you want a theme park, go to Disneyland or Disneyworld or the Neverland Ranch.

Vegas is kid friendly if you cover your eyes until you get inside the hotel.
