The only thing that is disappointing with the 262 is how high they've positioned the pilot. You should sit right across from the Revi site, as it was at the same level as the rest of the German aircraft...having to squat down to see through it is completely inaccurate...

here's a good pic to explain...

Also, the ME262 came with the EZ42 gyroscopic gunsite as well...it was bigger (longer) than the Revi 16, and reflected the gunsite right onto the windshield. It also automatically adjusted due to the aircrafts speed and acceleration...most pilots in the Galland Circus had them...

Now THAT would be nice...

P.S.

Also for you 262 fans...Gallands plane wasn't White 3, as it was made out to be for many decades. White 3 belonged to Franz Stigler. There was a picture taken once with Galland infront of Stigler's plane, and since then everyone thought it was HIS personal plane...the truth was that Galland flew whatever aircraft was available...

I agree with the pilots position in the aircraft, maybe you should post it in "Olegs Readyroom" instead? At least that's where I think suggestions are supposed to go?

I understand... Also, one thing related to cockpits that i don't like is about the compass position on the Polikarpovs... It appear exactly behind the stick and there's no way to watch it when the stick is on neutral position. I hope they can fix it too.

Got a nice manual for the EZ42, but it should be noted that it wasn't standard on the 262.

However what's the use of Gyros if the whole windshield is aflame once you start firing /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
