I don't know if anyone has brought this up before but, I'd love to have an AC game set in somewhere in Mesopotamia (modern day Iraq-ish). The ancient sumerian society is said to be one of the, if not the, first true 'civilisation' and they have writings which imply that they lived with 'gods'. I think it would be brilliant if an AC game was set in this time and 'those who came before' were there living with humans and i duno some crazy **** kicks off or something you know...

Another cool thing i think would be to have an AC game where you play as an ancestor (obviously) in that futuristic garden of eden place. I imagine some of those first humans would've tried to assassinate one of 'those who came before' and maybe failed but succeeded in their mission to steal a piece of eden.

either way; sumerian or garden of eden, I'm sure they could rope in some class storyline about those who came before and early humans. maybe even in ancient egypt i duno... there's a few people who believe the pyramids and sphinx were built by aliens...

Sounds interesting. There'd have to be some way for it to tie into the 2012 storyline if it'd have to be in one of the main games though, but it definitely sounds cool.

sounds cool

i think that there are a lot of temples in that area so they could say 1 of them is one of the temples that desmond needs to find

i duno maybe they have to find out more information about what exactly is going on with the massive solar flare; what it's going to do and how to stop it.

*AC Brotherhood spoiler (clusters ending)*

subject 16 said about finding eve...

I don't think there will be an 'Eden' setting, but I wouldn't doubt a Sumerian or Egyptian one for a side game.

yeah i bet they could get some story in about desmond and everyone finding out about how to get into a temple or what to do when they get in there.

And the Apple would've had to have gone through Egypt because Al Mualim said the apple parted the red sea. And in the bible it says the Israelites 'followed' the ark of the covenant in the desert for 40 years (or whatever it was). There was clearly some crazy **** going on there... Then the templars found the apple in the ark under Solomon's temple.

Well, I doubt that they would delve directly INTO a story from the Bible. There is a possibility that they would get a lot of bad press by some News Networks, not to mention my Dad probably wouldn't let me play it.

Even though I'm a Christian myself, I don't really care if games I play change around the stories of it. AC already did it a little also, and I don't mind.

Hmmm, that could be true. Maybe if they take a more scientific approach it could work.

Yea, I dunno. I don't think UbiSoft will take that route, since they don't really need more flack from anyone. By hardcore PC gamers, UbiSoft is almost a devil like EA or Activision to them because of the DRM that they have on most of their games.

P.S. stop taking away by dream of have my name on half of the front page >http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I should stop for today anyways. It's almost midnight and I have classes tomorrow. Good luck with achieving that dream http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I hope they wouldn't be discouraged from keeping religious themes in the game. The games have already been heavily based around religion! I'd love to see an event from the bible directly portrayed in the game. It'd sure be something different anyway http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Didn't they already portray 'Creation' as something different with the Truth video?

Reminds me of the show Ancient Aliens. I agree, Sumerian were some interesting people, with extremely high knowledge of something else within our universe. AC could do something really brilliant with that time period, and it wouldn't be difficult to tie it into 2012. Sometime in the future maybe huh?

Ooh, I love Ancient Aliens. It's such a fun show to watch, although I normally take it with a grain of salt.

Another area they could go into which is very relevant to this is Peru. I went there 5 years ago and went again this year for 2 months and there is loads of brilliant history there. The Nazca Lines are there and they've already featured in the game (subject 16's glyphs). There's the ancient city at Machu Picchu i think they did some cool astronomy and mathematics there. Also there are loads of cool temples in peru, here's a picture of what the temple would've been like at the time it was built.

It was right near where i stayed and we went to see it a couple times, was brilliant! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm not sure how they would work a game for that region, as we don't have a very detailed history on the area if I'm correct.

i would've thought the more vague a county's history the easier it would be make up loads of crazy stuff around it. you have to admit there was loads of glyphs that were just nazca lines and i'm pretty sure at the end of AC1 one of the blood drawings 16 leaves you is of Machu Picchu. There's mega signs pointing towards Peru, Egypt and Japan (yona guni) in those drawings.

Those Who Came Before and their relationship are very reminiscent of the Annunaki/human relationships in ancient Sumer. That would make for a great game if they incorporated this mythology into an AC game at some point down the road.
