Back in the day I can remember playing these maps on AA and Spearhead, great to see them looking very very more real life. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif

Hate to say it but even according to the MOH community the game is basically dead. The only thing that could bring some life back into it would be some good addon mods by community members or EA actually putting some effort into a patch that fixed all the community grips. The stupid SP missions that either threw history out othe door or boss levels, stretch armstrong AI and piss poor MP features ended it by the time it hit the shelves. Loved AA and Spearhead myself and won't buy Airborne unless things change. Now if someone would port AA and Searhead the way they were over to the new engine or as already stated some really good addons come out then I might change my mind. The game has quite a bit of potential and EA did model some things very well, the MP40 for starters but as for now still going to pass on this one.

Bought it and played it quite intensively for a while but it's off my machine now as I simply got bored with its predictability. Graphics are way better than previous incarnations but I still find the 'requiring two hits for a kill unless point blank range' with the Garand absurd. And nobody gets wounded or just knocked down - they're either shooting at me or dead.
The uber stormtrooper types in the latter missions who only succumb after being shot a zillion times was just plain silly - even a grenade had no effect, which is even dafter.
Have to confess I set myself up in God mode (cheats!! do I hear a sharp intake of breath?) just so I could stroll around with the pump action shotgun blasting the bad guys left and right, which (rather disturbingly) amused me so much I laughed - as I said, disturbing don't you feel?
However that novelty soon wore off and my wife peering over my shoulder passed some comment to the effect of: "sad git!" before wandering off to sharpen her claws . . .

I too am looking forward to this one - provided they've sorted the hit accuracy issues. The last versions drove me potty with the enemy's ability to hit me from impossible distances yet my weapons hardly hit a thing even point blank. I'm not that bad a shot . . .

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif Looking forward to Hell's Highway's release in the coming months. Didn't care much for RTH30 and for some of the historical inaccuracies and oddities but EIB is still a lot of fun, quite immursive and well done, give it up for the learning curve. Hope Hell's Highway lives up to what the screenshots and dev videos show, and considering Gearbox's strive for detail it probably will.

The back sight on that Garand is porked, I see why you can't hit anything.

If this is what the rest of Hell's Highway looks like... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

I remember when I first got Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. I couldn't wait for the Normandy landing... Then when I got MoH: Spearhead, I thought the opening jump was the coolest thing ever.

You don't by some chance work for the post office, do you?

speaking of BIA, I'm still on Road To Hill 30. I'm at the last level. It took forever to get past the warehouse. One thing that bugs me is the inability to go prone and low crawl. Does that ever get corrected?

I can't wait for Hell's Highway. I loved RTH30, and I'm almost finished with EiB. I had a lot of surprises in the latter, thanks to the AI improvement. The Brothers in Arms games are some of the best for immersion, IMHO.

Impressive artwork.

But the extremely revolutionary setting of WW2 US Airborne/ Ranger in Normandy bores me sh!tless.

So no set date for Hells Highway then?

The MOH series got a little too redundant for me. I enjoyed AA and of course the original, but after that it lost it's flavor. Can only do D-day+ so many times. Didn't much care for Pacific Assault.

Plus after playing FPS's like Red Orchestra it's hard to go back.

EA has been turning out complete garbages, 4 days and beat it. Online play is disapointing as well.. always the closed in map feel. Im more of a fan of the huge terrain type fps's OFP2 etc Ghostrecon.. Im just waiting for one to have wwii till modern day in one game.. Theres really no good vietnam games out fps wise. I favor wwii but its just been done to death same with the eastern front. The cod4 demo is impressivelooking but still has that closed in quake feel and so many things to get caught up on.

So we can expect HH when BoB comes out? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

in BIA:HH you will be able to go prone. and there are different postures, stealth, patrol and .. some other ones i forget. you also get to tell you men WHEN TO FIRE!. instead of all the other games where as soon as ur friendly AI meets enemy they open fire... this now means u can set up ambushes and timed attacks...

there will also be an addition of an extra "fire team" , these third teams are either LMG, Bazooka team, or a mortar team... i even heard about a radioman for arty strikes.

and for those you u frustrated with the weapon accuracy in the last two games HH will have perfect accuracy now, meaning if ur sights are on a target , thats where the round will go.

oh and theres destructible cover now too (no more bulletproof wooden boxes and overturned carts.

oh yeah and no more loading screens.

release date is Q1... so no later than march 08 be sure http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
