I saw an interview on television once where Ben Affleck and Matt Damon said in their movie "Good Will Hunting" that the city of Boston, Mass. was like a character in the movie. This is part of what I like about AC. The cities are rich in detail and offer much to explore, there's always room for improvement though http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif, but it really is excellent.

This is kind of an off topic thread but I felt I had to share. The bar in the movie good will hunting was called the L steeet tavern and it was on the corner of E.7th St. and L St In Southy (South Boston). I just happened to live two house down from that bar for two years.

Yeah I know, no body cares, but I wanted to share http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Oh Southy is also the setting of the movie Boondock Saints, for anyone that didn't know.

Movie was awesome. People give Affleck to much trouble or maybe I'm just a dork for Kevin Smith but I also think The Town was awesome. People are to harsh on him!!

@ B2S [That is totally awesome, were you there during any of the filming, did you get to see any extras or camera crews or anything like that?]

@ Rza [I thought Ben Affleck was hilarious in "Mallrats".]

I don't no the quote exactly, but my quote, when Ben Afflecks character goes "... I don't appreciate people in my mall with no shopping agenda..." Hilarious

Are you talking about the bar where Ben Affleck's character and Matt Damon's character and their peeps met Minnie Driver's character and her girl and almost got in that fight?

should we rename this to the "Ben Affleck Appreciation Thread"? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Honestly it's probably been almost ten years since I've watched the movie. I guess I'll have to watch it again when I get a chance.

I'll also have to watch Mallrats again as well (I have it in my collection so I'll do that now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif). It's been a while since I've watched that too, I always just end up watching clerks if I'm in the mood for that type of flick.

if you got the mallrats dvd, don't watch the "alternate plot" outtake. it will bore you to tears. there's a reason they changed the plot. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Funny, I've always thought of watching that but never got around to it, guess it's a good thing I didn't. Thanks for the warning.

If you're going to do that...you have to watch the brilliance of Kevin Smith movies.

They actually have an order too.

Mallrats is first.
Clerks is the day after Mallrats.
Then Dogma or Chasing Amy are next...I forget which but you can find out in wiki.
Then Jay and Silent Bob strike back.
Then Clerks 2.

They all totally make nods to each other and have reoccuring characters and mentioned characters and Jay and Silent Bob actually live the timeline it's pretty funny.

Makes me sad he retired from writing after doing a horror movie.

I've watched them all in many different orders http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

What's-his-name from ClerksII did such a damn good acting job. The kid they all pick on.

I love in "Clerks" how Randall explains about the rebellion and how the Empire's deathstar that there were just a bunch of private contracters working on the deathstar for a fat government contract.
