Hi All,
I am pleasure to share my latest NewMat mod news which was done 3 year's ago, to make symbols and numbers looks shining to match aircraft skins, in recent days, I checked some new setting for these mat files, find some interesting result.

please see below screenshots, all marked now merged with skin and look like a part of it. I really don't like the default one, seems a flat fabric hovered on the curved skin.

reworked national roundels with semi-transperant effect,especially good for those new skins in 4.09. All screeshots are taken in default skins and reworked mat file,roundels

In your screenshot, the roundel already had semi-transperant effect. was it done by Ace's Artwork? I don't know yet. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Yes, those were done by Aces. IL2-MAT Manager has tons of options and hundreds if not thousands of Mats to choose from. I'm concerned that you are trying to reinvent the wheel...or the roundel as the case may be. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

if you have ACE's mat files, try to edit the AlphaTestVal 0.5 to AlphaTestVal 0.0, it will make all marks merged with the skins.

By the way, I only edit default one and wish it match with default skins, so no other option. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
