Well, once you get the DVD you'll have all the official pieces of the series. (And as you know, the 1946 DVD covers it all anyhow.) "Combat Over Europe" is an unofficial, 'third party'-developed product that adds more missions and some custom skins ... really, that's all that's left out there for you, several more third party expansions for additional campaigns, either scripted or DGen in nature. There are no products left that will add planes or maps to the game.

Gogamer.com carries several IL-2-related add-ons so check their site under PC-->Flight Simulations. I can't remember or list all of the possible missions add-ons out there, but here is a partial list:

1. Battle Over Europe, the original project by Russian Rocket Group. It's the DGen pack that the Normandy and Ardennes maps were built for. Sold through JustFlight.com; they ship to the US from England for no additional cost!

2. OstFront (http://www.gogamer.com/Ostfront-Add-On-for-IL-2-Forgotten-Battles-Flight-Simulations_stcVVproductId4760181VVcatId444812VVvi ewprod.htm) by Ian Boys. DGen campaigns for Ian's Kurland and Murmansk maps, plus some custom skins.

3. Operation Barbarossa (http://www.gogamer.com/Operation-Barbarossa-IL-2-Campaign-Pack-Flight-Simulations_stcVVproductId4760646VVcatId444812VVvi ewprod.htm). The very first commercial missions add-on, I believe; this pack was updated for Forgotten Battles. Scripted campaigns.

4. Case Blau (http://www.digitalriver.com/dr/v2/ec_Main.Entry17C?SID=45905&SP=10023&CID=0&PID=675410&PN=1&V1=675410&CUR=840&DSP=&PGRP=0&ABCODE=&CACHE_ID=0). By the author of Operation Barbarossa, if I recall correctly. Or was 'Ossi' also the author of ...

5. Rebirth of Honor (http://www.gogamer.com/Rebirth-of-Honor--Campaign-for-IL-2-Forgotten-Battles-Flight-Simulations_stcVVproductId4760183VVcatId444812VVvi ewprod.htm). Scripted campaigns set in the closing days of the war I think. I read good reviews on this one when it came out, and I played the demo.

6. The Last Days (http://www.digitalriver.com/dr/v2/ec_Main.Entry17C?SID=45905&SP=10023&CID=0&PID=675490&PN=1&V1=675490&CUR=840&DSP=&PGRP=0&ABCODE=&CACHE_ID=0). More 'end of the war' scenarios, which I think includes alternate history as the war continues into 1946. I'm pretty sure the campaigns are DGen; I've read there is conflict between TLD's files and OstFront(?).

7. Wings Over Waves (http://www.gogamer.com/Wings-Over-Waves--Campaign-for-Pacific-Fighters-Flight-Simulations_stcVVproductId4760185VVcatId444812VVvi ewprod.htm). Sorry, don't know anything about this one. Or ...

8. Wings Over Jungles (http://www.gogamer.com/Wings-Over-Jungles--Campaign-for-Pacific-Fighters-Flight-Simulations_stcVVproductId4760187VVcatId444812VVvi ewprod.htm). Or ...

9. Banzai! (http://www.digitalriver.com/dr/v2/ec_Main.Entry17C?SID=45905&SP=10023&CID=0&PID=733610&PN=1&V1=733610&CUR=840&DSP=&PGRP=0&ABCODE=&CACHE_ID=0)

10. Aces Campaigns (http://www.gogamer.com/Aces-Campaigns-Add-On-for-IL-2-Forgotten-Battles-Flight-Simulations_stcVVproductId4760177VVcatId444812VVvi ewprod.htm), by the creator of Combat Over Europe. It's out of stock at Gogamer so I think it has been discontinued.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Do all these addons still work with 4.07m as they are only additional campaigns?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

now from a subjective standpoint, which are worth picking up and which arent?

id like to get as many as i can but if the content is only so so i can pass on it.

And how accurate are the missions that are included?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I don't have 4.07 yet so this is just speculation, but there shouldn't be any problems. It is possible that due to FM or AI changes through the different versions, the missions may not unfold as they were originally intended, or they may not be playable on the same hardware, because the new version demands more resources.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
