What are the best axis fighters at 10000m+, particularly for dealing with p-47's?
The FW-152H the BF109K's the FW-190D's? are the jets any good at altitude, the 262's or 162's?
Not including the funnies like the lerche or Go.
Is the FW-152C any good and what were the changes to it in the latest beta patch?

Is that you LewiLewi?

YOu got them right mate

For sure :-

Ta152
Me109K4 (In fact all the 109's)

FW190D is not so good I dont think, maybe someone else will come and tell us for sure.

The Me262 is good at all alts I think.

I just keep on chasing those P-47's in a FW-190D

and they just keep on outrunning me http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Me109's are better at high altitude than Fw190's. The Ta152H is a high altitude fighter. The Ta152C I believe was built for lower altitudes than the H. I don't remember the P47 being good at high altitudes, but I may be wrong. If someone can give better specs for these aircraft that would be great.

Ta152H/C are your best bet.

Here's what IL2 compare says - pretty much historical I guess. Like stated in JtDs thread about high alt performance of 190s, the true high alt performers for the LW were Ta152s, but arrived too late to have an impact.

The Ta152 is almost a kite....yesterday on UK2 there several fantastic fights featuring a couple pairs of TA's and P51's. The hard deck was around 18,000 ft. At 25000 ft the TA is gorgeous http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Lag was awful yesterday tho...(no, really... no excuses http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif) and i had a awesome 15 sec warp session. By the time i came back, i had "dived" 10,000 ft and was out of the fight (plus a wing or two courtesy the G effects) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/crackwhip.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Thanks guys particularly Tigertalon for the graphs.

I'll get myself a K4 of a 152 to fix those p-47's
