The Hurricane from Finnish Air Force Museum, Hurricane Mk. I HC-452 that fought in the Continuation War in Finland vs. Russian forces was on display on the Finnish army fair this weekend. I took a bit of video of the plane and put the initial version of it here:

Enjoy, Hurri fans.

Phas3e,

Email me. jkauppin@jmp.fi

I have detail photos of the plane and from underside as well, I can send those to your. And in higher resolution than web photos of course.

I may have also other photos or can pass word to the association folks who may be able to help you.

Be the Von Rosen cross on wing top seems to be way too think in your photo.

More photos of the Hurricane etc, from the "Defence & Security Fair 2005" that had very sizable Finnish defence forces presentation. As well as the Hurricane the Finnish Air Force section had a WW2 fighter pilot as visitor each day giving a n interview to the audience:

Example:

Pictured: the 32 victory Curtiss Hawk / Messerschmitt 109 pilot Ky√¬∂sti Karhila.

Thanks I will do that later today. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yeah that was an early shot and i was still using the wing marking from the original paint scheme, which i understand was thinner, i dont have a shot of the current state atm but the main difference is the thicker wing markings and the side roundals have been moved back as well as the fuselage stripe which has been thickened.

I will email after work with one or two qwestions about her thanks

The official Finnish swastika

http://www.kolumbus.fi/kari.stenman/january_2002_theme.html

"The best known exception were the insignias on the Hurricanes painted in Britain. The fuselage swastika had correct proportions, but on the wings the same width swastika arms were painted on larger circles, resulting the whole swastika looking narrow."
