Seems like an interesting challenge

Read about it here (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/midway/review.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=tabs&tag=tabs;reviews)

And download the demo here (http://www.battlestationsmidwaydemo.com/)

Haven't yet as I thought I'd post the link and get some reviews if someone already has tried it.

Bought it. Installed it. Played it. Didn't like it. Uninstalled it.

The game looks pretty good, especially some of the ship models. But it's way too arcadey for my personal tastes.

I suppose, however, that I'm spoiled by games like 1946 and Matrix's War in the Pacific - a game I love, BTW. It's just grognardian enough for me!

...well, perhaps WitP does go just a teeny bit over the top with the micromanagement...

Yeah. My carefully constructed and reasoned opinion of Battlestations Midway is that it sucks.

Yeah...

Treetop64, I have to agree with you hands down that War in the Pacific is THE PTO game if you are a serious wargamer. Sure, I don't get the graphics or sounds that Battlestations Midway or Pacific Storm offer, but the gameplay as an armchair general is far superior in my opinion.

yeah, WiTP is great if you like your games just as buggy as ubi releases.
