I'm not sure this has been discussed before, so forgive me if I'm repeating anything, but do you think that Abstergo is behind the current events in Egypt and Libya?

It may be likely, as it showed up in the Clusters that Abstergo have been manipulating the situation of the world from behind the scenes.

Then again, would these protests be the work of the Assassins?

I personally think that Abstergo is behind the current conflicts, as their aim is to control the world through the economy.

However... if we were to take the game as fact then I think it's safe to say this was by the Templars. They're creating a distraction so the people don't ask too many questions about Julian Asange... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Well yes, I know the game is fiction, I'm not that gullible to believe otherwise.

I started the thread to discuss the possibility of whether these current events may be mentioned in AC3 as having a link to Abstergo.

And AMuppetMatt, I like your theory, it could be possible.

So Gaddafi has PoE? It must be the sunglasses http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif.
Seriously it is possible that these real events will be mentioned in Ac3 or on Abstergo Industries website in the future.

I was fully expecting to hear something about this on Abstergo Industries, but that hasn't been updated for 3 months...
