I wait a long time for this patch. Now I cannot return this game for a refund because I wait so long. I don't care about multiplayer, I like single player so I was very dissappointed with dynamic campaign in 1.0 FB.

The patch promised to fix the many, many, MANY campaign problems. I was excited to try. First mission as Soviet fighter pilot in Leningrad campaign is intercept bombers before they bomb supply depot. OK, sound good. I am play number 7 in flight of 11 on runway. I wait my turn and take off and then turn on auto pilot. I use SHIFT F2 to look at enemy planes. They are 9 HE-111 with 8 109 escort. They are behaving strangely. The bombers dive to a few metres above ground, turn around and go home before they even cross front line. My flight leader flies to a waypoint and circles. I put time acceleration to 8X. Nothing happens for 15 minutes. Everyone circles.

*THIS* is repaired patch? No, this is garbage. I am very disappointed with all involved.

If you read up on other threads about Patch 1.1B or read the readme file you will see that it is an open beta.

This patch was released early to address the problem of patch whining, so you would expect there to be some bugs still present.

If you have any bugs to report there is an email address in the readme file.

A little more attention to detail on the part of the user would help a great deal in the flood of misinformation about the patch on these boards.

This is a gross over exageration of a problem & doesn't necessarily need to be interpreted as a bug.

I am sure vast majority of patrols/intercepts in WWII resulted in no enemy action. Becuase enemy was not at predicted time/place for whatever reason.

Since this is an open beta, it means that you can provide input so that things will be fixed!

The beta copied a readme file in your il2fb folder.. In there, you can find a bug report form. Please use it, so that they will be aware of the problem(s) you discovered. I did it with the bugs I found.

Not the `one experience in one mission `routine and pan the whole campaign again? I really reckon you guys should give it a little more of a test than that. Under what conditions?

Well I think it`s good and I havent seen it.

Fair point, but it is pretty ridiculous to model wartime inaction in a combat flight game!

Look for the standalone DCG (sorry, can't remember the
link currently) as it is much better than the stock one,
and makes single player very much more enjoyable.

Can't stress it enough : we need a REAL FMB! What we have now is a basic FMB with a basic manner of chaining missions when building campaigns. I don't think Oleg will ever address that because implementing triggers takes a great amount of time aalthough the base is in the game. Still a issue to check.

Agree. The trigger function is what makes the Operation Flashpoint editor so great and I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work in IL2 FB.

No, it's a patch. A beta patch, what's more. Fill in the bug-report - it's there for things that bug you - and e-mail it in.

If you do not like the default DC then there are always other 3rd party DC's to use and they are amazing.

its a beta game and a beta patch that was meant to be an add-on to an existing game but turned out to be something entirely different.

next time, i'll see if i can drum up enough beta-cash to pay for my beta-game while awaiting the beta-patch.

maybe i can get a few beta-bucks knocked off the price if i use someone elses' campaign generator. it may not fix the beta-AI though.. perhaps a 3rd party AI would help? i'll beta-test that too.

i'm just saying too

Since this is degenerating, I'd like to remind everyone here that by filing the bug reports, we're doing ourselves a favour.

If, instead of being cynical, we send bug reports, everybody will benefit from a better game.

There will be plenty of time for being cynical when the patch is out.

SJ,

I'm not talking about/ to you. If I had something to say to you, I would address you specificly in CWoS. Not here. I think i've already proven this once.

As far as THE GAME is concerned:

You are correct. These are my OPINIONS, which, last I checked, required NO POLICING from you or any other forum member.

If you can swallow the hook that is FB without feeling the sting, good for you. Personally, I'm not happy with the way things have turned out and feel that I should be able to voice my opinion without you siggi-types tacking the scarlet "W" to my name.

Get over it what I said in CWoS. I'm noone. My opinion should have no effect on you what so ever.

So one mission in a dynamic campaign doesn't work and its time to take back the game? I love single player as much as multiplayer and I've had no problems like that...the only problem I have is that I get shot down by the AI that is generally so good http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

But I'm working better wingman tactics with my AI wingmates and I'v been surviving very well.
