with an astrolabium knowing the size of the plane you can know its distance

wouldnt be cool you could do it in your screen?

seeing heads tracker are improving my suggestion is what i call the gunsight effect:

to keep the fov of the game and the fov that the screen takes from your eyes( this detected by a head tracker) always equal

on this way youd notice real size of aircraft as real

I had never heard of an Astrolabe before so following a little bit of research I now know what one is.

Thankyou Raaaid for expanding my mind.

I have no idea how it relates to a gun sight though http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Raid,

AFAIK with an astrolabium you can determine the position of planets. The apparent size/distance concept is implemented in gunsights with concentric circles, showing the wingspan of a given enemy airplane at various distances.
