Now look I know things are a little slow and it's summer and so I thought I'd actually start a thread about this sim.

I've been messing around with this plane a bit. think I'm getting there with it and like tootling around in it but was wondering what a good cruising speed is for it. It seems quite happy at about 570km/h TAS, at 95% throttle and 100% prop pitch at about 5500m. If I could actually get proper level trim then it would probably go a bit faster (but seems hard sometimes to find the sweet spot with trim in this sim).

Anyways, is that speed about right?

And theres alot more just on the first page, i just cant be assed to copy and paste anymore. The forums are surprisingly active at the moment, after a slow last few months.

RE: FW190 cruise speed, just whack it on WEP and 100% and you can run on overheat for a good 30 minutes.

I would go a little less throttle, say 85%, and "auto" pitch when cruising. Set radiator to 8. You may not get an averheat warning but, the engine is running hot at high rpm (prop pitch) settings. Reduce rpms when cruising and then you'll have more time at WEP (over 100% throttle) when the fight starts. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

EDIT: Great choice on the A6 bazzaah2! The A6 is really maneuverable, fast and has awesome firepower. It's the best Anton if you like to mix it up a little. The A6 makes for great fights with Spit IXs and La5Fs!
