Main highway closed as bomb defused in Germany (http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/184871,main-highway-closed-as-bomb-defused-in-germany.html)

That's the first time I've seen any mention of WW2 aerial recon photos being used to locate possible unexploded bombs in German cities - very good idea.

Oh they do this since a long time. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

The german bomb disposal squads got supplied with hundreds of damage assessment recon photos from the allies.

Every huge crater is a exploded bomb , every small one a dud that might be still there if no records can be found that something was defused or detonated there.
