before i start ploughing through the maps, does any one know the largest map in terms of grids.
i.e. 10 x 15 or 20 x 18. i am not interested in scale km its just grids.
I am embarking on a project to design a heading calculator and need the grid informaion.
any thoughts please?

The largest maps are the full size versions of Hawaii, Coral Sea and IIRC Guadalcanal is the same size too, all at 1000km x 1000km.

The map grid lines vary depending on what zoom level you're viewing the map at, but the map references at top and right hand sides are based on the 10km grid. For the largest maps that would be 100 x 100 grid squares.
