Where can you download more flyable planes such as the B-17 I hear people talking about??

The propellor is just a big fan to keep the pilot cool.. when it stops you can see the pilot start sweating!

The B-17 is AI only, right now, except when someone sets it up the be controlled from a 3rd person (external) veiw. Planes are not added to FB like in the CFS series. Download the patches, though, and you'll get new maps, FM/DM tweaks, several flyable planes like the AM65 Zero, P-51 Mustang and Ki-84 Hayate, and other good things. 1.21 is the patch you need. It's availible here (http://www.il2sturmovik.com/games_elts/fb_updates.php) Here is part of the Read Me:

BOOM! Yeah, Alright you primitive screwheads, listen up. See this? This is my T-Bolt!! It's has 8 .50cals and 2000lbs+ worth of bombs and rockets. Republic's top of the line. You can find this in the Kick A$$ department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Farmingdale, Long Island and Evansville, Indiana. Retails for about $82,997.95. It's got a turbo-supercharger, all metal control surfaces with blunt nosed ailerons, and a hair trigger. That's right, shop smart, shop Republic. YOU GOT THAT!? Thanks for the help but on a thread I was reading this person said he was flying his B-17 and went to gunner position - is this a different game he is talking about?

AFAIK, he must have been. I've heard they are working on the pits and stations of the B-17, hopefully we'll get it. Here (http://jg777.com/il2/images/) is a link to a site with current news about planes in work. I want them all. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Hmmm I heard an interesting story in ubi the other day about a guy who somehow landed himself in a twin engine plane with booms from the engines, twin rudders and the large slap tailplane and he was utterly convinced he had himself a P-38..... and also that he wasin the cockpit. After much disputing we got him to go back in. He came out in a few mins and said it was really a FW 189 and some one had modded the pit and rudders..... So someone was happily announcing they had made an ai flyable from the pit.... I think thats very unusual.

That is interesting.... I've noticed an increase in the talk of people doing things online that shouldn't be possible. I hope it isn't a sign that there are a group of cheaters out there..... Now, I would like to see every plane get a pit, but I realize that it most likely won't happen.

Btw, Fury, S! Are your FuryFighter variants going to make it into the add-on? Used to fly at Ubi as SamuraiCajun. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif An oxymoron, of sorts, with emphasis on the moron part. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
