BoB scoreboard ideal, can we have built into the scoreboard the objectives and how many are left for each side, that will force better team play for sure, if all players can see what is left to destoy/protect etc. thx

I agree. I dare say that the gameplay in BOB will be distinctly different, I have read that it will be dynamic, ie changing scenarios, taking airfields, destroying radar, losing fields, checking out the sky before entering plane, ongoing gameplay based on teamwork. At the moment bombing has no real effect on gameplay scenario, you can keep taking off from a field no matter how much it is bombed.

Confirmed, probables and damaged or shared kills would be good too http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I'd rather see kills as kills not as "points".

Still not sure how you would break out ground attack kills, it would make the tally screen quite busy.

Me, too, ElAurens - at least as an option.

I also hope we'll see partial kills - but since killstealing is a topic since early days of IL2, I guess there will be a change how this is managed.

I also liked the markers in B17II TME, where you had a marker for each bomb dropped and each plane shot down below the cockpit. Something like that would be cool.

Thinking further about it...

... what about an online-ranking system like Americas Army, BF2 or the UT-Series?

but we deffo need something in the scoreboard to encourage team play so each time has a visual guide on how well or badly they are doing, otherwise will be still deathmatch.

In AAO for example, Teammates get points for assisting kills and covering teammates, why they secure a target. Even better and more important for teamplay: Teammates get points for staying with their leader.

On the other hand leaders get points, if their team accomplishes goals and after each round for each teammember still alive.

I think this could be a good method for supporting teamplay. In AAO you can get over 300pts for teamplay a round, while you get 10 for each kill. On the other hand each teamkill will cost you up to 250pts (or more)

At least a good thing to help teamplay. What players make of it is a different matter.

I know its stretching it, but i'd really like to see a confirmation process in BoB.

It would be quite close to the real thing to have you submit your claims for kills, probables, shareds and damageds and then have to wait a couple of missions into the campaign for the more iffy ones (a diving smoker or a 109/Hurricane seen going down through the clouds towards the Channel) for them to be confirmed or denied.

I'd love it if my campaign score sheet in BoB read something like:

"2 destroyed, 1.33 shared destroyed, 2 probably destroyed and 2 damaged"

I think that every mate in flight coming back home should be as important or even more than every enemy down. Maybe as a multiply factor or something.

IMHO, to have realistic and immersive gameplay, online guys should be more life-conservative and cold-brained.

When two enemy flights are able to cross at a distance and not engaging -because tactical advantage isn't clear- then we'll have true air war.
