Dear ubi soft....

It's highly dissapointing that your game Assasin's creed theme story has been copied and has been filmed with very little minor changes. watch the trailer so u can understand

7am arivu trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-n4ELsE2zJs)

also another film.. titled "Velayudham" has copied the costumes of "ASSASIN"S creed"

watch this trailer

Velayudham trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2GU-4Bl-kA)

This is a high end injustice to UBISOFT and all ASSASSIN's CREED fans...

both films are releasing on 26ht october, 2011.
you still have 2 days time... pls take severe legal action and stop their release.

No need to make two topics about it. Could have just edited the info into your first topic.

They do watch the forums, so if they feel that they're being ripped off they will likely take action yes.

Ah I see. Yes That does get awfully close to the basic concept of AC.

To add to this - 7am Arivu copies one concept. Admittedly a very basic concept, but it touches nothing else. Its version of the Animus is essentially a Kolto tank (for Star Wars fans).

Velayutham, on the other hand, is Ezio if he were a milkman living in dusty Chennai. Which is not something I would ever want to see. Naturally, you add a maiden in distress and dance sequences, and you've made something that will distress anyone who lives in the same city as you do. Namely me.

I sincerely hope Ubisoft or Sony stop this. If they don't, I'm going to wait until after it releases and tell all my friends how Sony's new AC movie is ripping off Velayutham.

Here are all the available trailers for the movie:

Even severe legal action takes longer than 15 minutes even when the alleged infringement of intellectual property takes place in the same jurisdiction as the owner of the IP resides. In this case we're talking about working something out that satisfies different complex pieces of legislation in at least two and possibly as many as four or five different countries.

Ubisoft have been aware of Velayudham for several months at least. I'll make sure management see this thread regarding the other film. Ubisoft's legal team are taking what action they deem necessary and considering the complexities involved due to the international nature of the alleged infringements, what they deem possilble about the situation.

In the meantime, making broad accusations in public is discouraged as it may jeopardise legal proceedings or negotiations. This topic is now closed.
