I don't remember buidings exploding under cannon fire before!

A while back I did a test flight over Burma, just to look at the new scenery.
I noticed some new looking huts on the ground, and decided to see what would happen
if I straffed them using cannons. To my great joy I saw them explode - not excessively, but
still they gave off more than just a puff of smoke when they went up.
I tried a few more buildings on that map and also tried the same
thing on the Kiev map, and found that quite a number of buildings explode when hit by cannon.
I'm not a mission builder so I don't know if the buildings that react this way are new ones
or not. All I know is that only certain ones will explode. Has this been this way for a
while or is it a new feature?

Bored much? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif Man, Home Depot is gonna make a mint!

It must be a new feature because I've never noticed anything quite like that before. Or maybe I just never bothered raising hell on innocent civilians like you did! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

No it is not new, you have been able to damage buildings with cannon and gunfire for a long time.

YOu can sink ships with cannon fire too, but it takes a lot of good hits.
