hi, if someone has posted this or something similar, or this is stupid, please excuse me and forget the post http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

thought about a modell to move the head like in Operation Flashpoint where u can press a key and look around 270? to 90 ? but you walk in the old direction

if u extend this on a Joystick, press a key and you could move the head in all directions but the plane is flying the old direction.
If you move the stick around the Z-axis, head would move left to right, pull and you look up, push look down.
Right and left movements of the stick could lean your body to left and right. imagine the combinations it would give http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Would it be possible ?

Sorry for my bad english

You're mentioning a toggle function that allows to pan the view around with the stick, instead of controlling flight.

I don't think that one's possible in FB. Even if it was, I don't think it'd be of any use in a combat situation.

Yes,
your idea of a toggle button is good, but sometimes, in combat situation, you may need to move your head WHILE manouvering THE a/c.
So I don't think the right device is the joystick.
Rather, I would prefer the mouse: normally, it serves you to rotate your head, with the toggle on, it lets you move the head forward, reaerword etc.
It could solve the ethernal flames about FW190 cpckpit and such, also...
Unfortunately, I don't think we'll see such feature in this sim, may be NEXT one? Eh, Oleg?

This is not impossible, but quite difficult in playing: control the viewing and play the plane by the same joystick?

Well, I have a suggestion: buy a new joystick with a "Hat" button. the "Hat" button is a small button which is controlled my your thumb, and it feels like the direction button of a GameBoy. When you press upwards, you can see the ceiling of the canopy; if you press left, you look left etc. It shouldn't be a problem in looking if you have this kind of joystick

the pov movement is way outdated, if you notice other sims such as wwii janes fighters 8 movement hat switchs can move as smooth as the mouse. Theres programs on simhq.com that simulate it but its still not a perfect smooth movement like the mouse.

Hopefully 1c will work on this in the future but probally not to get people to buy trackir.
