In ac2 you rarely died except for when you fell to far which happens to all of us at least once. Bar this though Ezio seems unkillable and that was the only thing I hated about ac2,i felt little challenge in it although it was fun.

But now ezio has even more weapons and a clan which means that he doesn't neccesairaly need to do any work at all except kill the target. So the question is...does anyone know anything about the level difficulty or if the developers have compensated for ezios kick *** plaetora?

Probably, yes.

Apparently AI is more aggressive this time, and you can't use the Brotherhood repeatedly, there's a bit of a recharge time.

I'm not even gonna use my CLAN. Imma do it SOLO!!!

But even one BAM per mission would make the game easier. Plus this time we have the whole "strike first, strike fast" thing, so basically combat's a lot faster and easier (somehow). Add to that the corssbow and double throwing knives. Yes, Ezio will be invincible, still :|

i'm still hoping for an invicable brute/papal guard:
someone who has heavsy weopen/spear can't be countered by anything, and is immposible to disarm.

Oh my god yes. There should be an archetype that is impossible to beat for at least most of the game, so that forces you to be stealthy. (by impossible, I mean literally imposible without learning some new ability in the later part of the game, not like impossible the way brutes were. I beat up Brutes with my fists http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif ) Best idea I've seen on these boards http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif There should be an assassination target that is just surrounded by these super guards.

By the way, I was thinking, since apparently Cesare gets the PoE, couldn't he theoretically do what Altair did and unlock the secret of indestructible armour?! So give the super guards new versions of Altair's armour!

I think this idea deserves its own topic.

I hear a topic incoming... (add a poll to it)

I did make a new topic, but polls are ridiculous. I hate poll topics on this forum, they're abused too often (ehem (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5251069024/m/4401044288))

in no way should there be an invincible guard untill you get a certain whatever later in the game.... they are trying to make this life like I believe, and anyone can be killed.... just make the guards attack at once, instead of one at a time, which I thought I heard was happening this time around... that's plenty to help even the odds and make you want to be stealthy, to avoid the extra guards.

Oh yeah, they're making Assassin's Creed as lifelike as possible, what with the whole idea of Those Who Came Before and Pieces of Eden, and a 40 year old man dispatching a group of 20 guards in their 20s and 30s. Very realistic indeed.

Yes, they took a little bit of artistic license with the idea.... I'm talking about combat...

Ok, I really think the idea of someones battle wounds being healed by drinking Renaissance era medicine sold to me by masked men is very realistic. Or how I can keep fighting unhindered after being slashed by a sword up to 20 times.

oh and a very sincere welcome to the fourums to you http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

lol, that probably won't happen because of the ideas we were just talking about, along with a mini hand-glider!!!

Ezio was far from invincible in ACII, if that was the case there would be no need for medical kits and you could have jumped off the tallest building without dieing.

Topic is a little misleading there.

I do think though that ACII was fine with the way the guards were and the strength of them. Remember, Ezio is a bad-*** assassin.

He's like Jack Bauer and Chuck Norris, he never dies. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I'm glad it's more aggressive. Fighting became a little tedious when I'm trying for cool counter attacks, and everyone just stands there http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

I just pray there's going to be a slider so I can increase the damage. AC2 was SO freaking easy it removed all tension from combat. Even with 20 guards I never felt in any danger. Hell 100 guards wouldn't have worried me.

People were having no great trouble getting through AC2 with minimum possible armour, weapon and no medicene just to restore some challenge, so only reason you'll need Guild assistance is if ACB is engineered to make some mission technically impossible without it.

BTW: the medicene is explained as smelling salts in the object description, pretty good equivalent to the stim packs (or whatever) in futuristic settings.
