so that kim guy is over there acting up now , i guess theyre firing missles to celebrate their own 4th i dont know. but who do you think is going to get "it" first ? kinda weird you never hear anything about north korea , well until they start test firing missles. in my opinion that Kim guy has issues or something , cause he doesnt seem to be a very happy camper , he wasnt too happy in Team America world police either.

If you are a head of state and your hair looks like it is cut by a lawnmower and you walk like you're one of the bad guys in a zombie movie, you might have some issues.

Aren't we Westerners sick already of having to send our boys overseas to die on behalf of others? If the U.S. doesn't act to stop North Korea, then nobody else will, that's almost a certainty. Who else has the will to stop them?

Oh no . We all know political threads lead to no good http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I dont understand all this cryout about that. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

From what "stopping" are we talking ?

Stop from what ? What did they do ?

They have build a handful of new weapons and now tested if they work.

They didnt hurt anyone , they did not endangered anyone. They did not threatened anyone to use this weapon against them in a offensive way.

They just enjoy the u.s politicians running around with their hair on fire. And gain alot of fun out of it be sure of that. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I agree with them that they have the right to build and test weapons. There is enough military power which is hostile towards them in their near. So they want to make clear that they are able to defend themselves in a way that is serious towards their enemys. This brings them into a eye on eye basis in political talks.

Thats what they want. No one wants to let themselves dictate what to do in negotiations just because they are the weaker one.

Of course this pisses their neighbours off and trust me they know that very well. Thats the only reason why they do it anyway.

cpt_Alex2006

If they wanted to nuke a western power they will just mail it. No joke its a lot simpler to get nukes in and detonate than launch from thousands of miles away.

Or get a cheap tug boat and mount on a short range weapon, the warhead is the concern.

Do we honestly think something done in the mid forties by superpowers cant be replicated by third world governments these days, or bought ex soviet?

I bet we all sleep at night because we have no idea how close some of these nutters are to "wmd's"

p.s. team america, doh...

according to Al-queada secret reports that the U.S government has found, they already have several nuclear weapons in the united states, however america thinking its a bluff has not yet done a througho investigation into these claims.

According to an interview I watched last night, they are using these tests as leverage to get a better deal from the US. A trade off to leave nuclear weapons alone. In this crazy guys eyes, this is a good way to show them how serious he is. Position & money do not mean you have to be too intelligent

If they ever detonated a nuke in an American city, there would be a few Middle Eastern cities turned to glass in return.

Ahhh yes ... these... secret documents.. that the CIA finds from time to time...

The CIA finds so much secret documents... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I bet they have an own department for "The search of secret documents that bring our enemys in trouble" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And the terrorists of the world have "United terrorist data agency" where they store all their evil plans in secret files. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

I bet the afghans have a huge underground warehouse full of secret plans and documents that contain lots of "We were, are and will be right" material (from a CIA perspective) hidden somewhere in the desert underneath a camel farm or something. The CIA just needs to find it ! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Interestingly they always find them just in time when they need them and they always contain excatly what the CIA needs to proof "Look ! You all gonna die if you dont support us !"

"They will kill you all and then eat your children!"

"Only we can save you !" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Celeon has not much faith in "proofs" the CIA comes up with.

I like this new cartoon series on MTV. (Dont know the name)

Its great when this goverment guy looks at the terror alert display which is switching to yellow and says

"Look ! Yellow ! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif"

"You know what this means ?"

"That means that maybe something unknown might happen simply anywhere and anytime ! ...maybe !"

"So better watch out http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif !" "And vote for the republicans, we own the remote control and can let yellow become green again"

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

If a nuclear war broke out in the middle of the night, you wouldn't wake up the following morning.

That's quite simply put, but do you really think it's that easy for people under a dictatorship to revolt? You could say too that the german people should have revolted when Hitler took too much power to him, and was preparing for his war. People who are living under a strict regime often don't know any better, because they are brain-washed by their government. Look at how many Germans still believed in the victory and in Hitler at the end of WWII, when Germany lay in ruins.

you cant blame a country for developing icbm's or nukes, what right have the countries that have to force the rest to have not.

It really is up to the un etc to keep these guys in line with promises of un intervention in the event of border disputes etc. then they wouldnt need the nukes.

I know were all the good guys who can be trusted with nukes, but I am sure there are a few out there that question that.

To be frank, what miffed me was the wayt he price of oil jumped. overnight here, petrol went up by 17 cents in the litre, with the companies blaming 'raised tensions'. The frigging koreans dont export oil last time i checked, heroin perhaps but not oil!!!

they have had scuds and other short range missiles for years, testing them is just making sure the rusty things have still got a little life left in them yet..

Baldricks_Mate

The price "spike" here in Aussie is BS. I checked and followed the price of Singapore Crude on which our barrel price is based. It actually fell. It seems that "they" just change the baseline to texas or Saudi prices whenever it suits. Market manipulation. Laissez Faire capitalism at its worst. For me another "proof" that people and individual countries cannot cope with the Globalisation of Capital. Its the principle of divide and conquer.

Like Celeon and his "CIA Proofs" cynicism, I too am very dubious about many things. I am getting more suspicious and disbelieving as I get older. Not less. In fact Baldrick is feeling quite revolutionary... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

If you are really serious about keeping a country from going nuclear, the last thing to do would be to threaten them with UN "action." The UN were great at "preventing" the Rwanda massacre, genocide in Yugoslavia, etc.

Not disputing the lack of any real deterent the UN is, but unless there is a real world police everyone wants to protect their own yard with a bigger shotgun.

Once the cops own the streets you can start dis arming the locals.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif i dont see the problem with them having their own nukes . pretty much everyone knows its a loose loose situation when it comes to that. that would be one of those things you would have to really think about before you hit the button. but as far as making their own nukes , that would be like someone trying to stop me from making my own playdough (even radioactive playdough ) i have that right. haha.

UN 'action' is appalling to say the least. They either have a serious problem with communication or they're simply unready to respond in a certain crysis. I wonder what would be a better solution though.. perhaps use NATO instead of the UN?

I wonder what the great chairman looks at through that thing.....

-At the "evil capitalistic and imperialistic poor people enslaving ,contra-revolutionary bubble gum chewing bad--out-of-the-mouth smelling aggressors" on the other side of the border ?

-or is it an antique form of camera and the great chairman makes some sort of home video ?

Now japan wants to take it upon themselves to do something about N korea. only thing stopping them is the doctrine signed at the end of WWII. basically its illeagle for them to use their military for any other purpose but self defence. So they are having a tough time justifying a first strike. But I think that one thing they could do is to wait for Nkorea to launch another "missile test" and when that missile goes up then Japan, with heavy US supervision, http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif shoots down the missile with a patriot or whatever the newest system is these days.
Can you imagine kim's face when he thinks he is smarting off to the world by launching these missiles only to find his little test swatted out of the air by our own little test.
