What kind of slide show is my campaign like, in v4.0m? I think of those 44 enemy planes plus 16 friendly planes plus your flight plus ground objects missions, and I want to run and hide http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

I shouldn't worry....
I've been testing Cactus Diary which has large bomber/fighter formations and so far haven't noticed any stutter at all...
I like the new FM, but although landings have to be a bit more careful I haven't been stalling any when flinging it around in a dogfight with the zekes...
had one on my tail and dove right down to the water just pulling out in time... the zeke went right on in http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
I'm not using the new clouds and since a post last year about a real ww2 pilot trying il2 and his prefered joystick settings... I've been using them..... the right hand number in each of the three (axis/roll/whatever??) is never more than 75 for me

I don't have a real hot com either
Athlon 2200+ (1800mhz)
geforce 4 mX440 (128mb)
1.5 gig RAM

like the new AI very much... and the FM

also I flew the Hawk yesterday and flung it around as usual... no problem
tried puttin twelve of the airstrip no4 side by side and taxi/take-off/land across them to see if there are any bumps... nothing I could notice

if you 'set' the t/o to the strip you are in the usual line up and must release chocks to go

if you just put your icon on the strip ..wherever... and set to t/o it will appear there....heading East http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif but no need for chocks

BOB style t/o with a line up of planes taking-off side by side should be easier now

Running a 2.4Ghz P4, 1Gig 3200 RAM, FX5700LE 256MB Graphics:

No drastic changes in frames between 3.04 and 4.00 in When Tigers Could Fly - nothing to worry about. Well, unless the new clouds are on...then my frames die.

In fact, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the performance hit of the new flight model is negligable, even on my ageing PC.

same in the new 'cactus diary'...

69 a/c flying... no difference from 3.04 as far as stutter...none!
the big fighter furball is over before the bombersa get to the target area and start being taken down... even with them having chutes enabled... no stutter

I don't use Perfectr...never have and cannot either

try to set "TypeClouds=" to 0. The new clods are heavy on performance.

I'm playing WTCF in 4.0 with no issues.
